WELCOME CIRCUS VARGAS BACK TO WOODLAND HILLS
6th ANNUAL EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
The WVWC Chamber celebrated their 6th Annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 9th. There were 1200 hanging art posters submitted from six local elementary schools for the annual contest, and all participating schools were given art grants. The Tarzana Recreation Park was filled with kids jumpers, talented local performers, a Radio Flyer race car track by Tesla, the Critter Squad, arts and crafts for the kids made available by local businesses, and 100 free trees were given out by LA City Plants. The Earth Day Celebration is a main fundraiser for the Chamber’s Community Benefit Foundation
The WVWC Chamber Office Has Moved
The chamber has moved to a new location just downstairs from their previous office at the AMC Promenade Mall. Thanks to member Inside Moves for their great job in moving the Chamber. The new spacious office is off of Owensmouth then turn on Promenade Mall Street into the lot. It’s next to Ruth’s Chris. The Chamber received a nice welcome from their neighbor and member Ruth's Chris Steak House.
Eureka Burgers and Coachella WVWC Chamber member joined the fun as one of the food vendors in the Craft Beer Barn at Coachella 2017. Some of their amazing burgers and side dishes were also available to the masses of music goers at the event. www.eurekarestaurantgroup.com
Hello Social Punch Media
Members attend the Social Punch Media workshop with Nick Cavarra. The meeting was held at Total Wine and More and it is to help member businesses increase their audience through social media.
MPN Celebrates First Birthday The WVWC Chamber Millennial Professional Network had a blast celebrating their first birthday on April 13th at Eureka Woodland Hills in the Village! MPN aims to bring together Millennials from all professional backgrounds to network, learn new skills, and build relationships . The group gathers not only their own generation, but also leaders within all generations. Save the date for the next mixer, Wednesday, May 10th at Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ ‐ Woodland Hills!
Chamber Member Inspires a Committee for World Peace
WVWC Chamber Member, Ron Supancic, was recognized for his outstanding contribution to the Woodland Hills Rotary Club in designing & creating a first ever Peace Committee. It’s open to all members of the public who are willing to put their available time to work for World Peace. The meetings are on the 3d Tuesday of every month at 6pm in Woodland Hills. The meetings include Peace Making Skills and discuss projects which have included attending Ramadan Dinner at a local Mosque, putting on an Inter‐Faith Panel on Religion & Peace, attending Peace Seminars, Symposiums, & Events at Cal‐Lutheran, CSUN, Pierce College & LMU. Paoli’s Pizzeria & Piano Bar Woodland Hill’s old‐school nightspot Paolis Pizzeria & Piano Bar invited the community including the local LAFD to their grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony . They served their Chicago‐ style deep‐dish pizza and Italian dishes. Paoli’s also entertains their customers with piano music & karaoke .

Miss SFV and Miss SFV Teen Pageant
The annual pageant was held at the Rose Goldwater Community Center in Canoga Park in March. Congratulations to all of the young women who participated and to all of Lynn Miller’s work in continuing this college scholarship program.
Adopt‐A‐School is a WVWC Chamber program that offers an opportunity for businesses to help provide essentials to the classrooms that are no longer budget line items for the schools. We had our MONTHLY Member Orientation at the Microsoft Store at Westfield Topanga. New Members received hands on interactive training on how to use the Chamber’s robust online marketing tools. They practiced their best 10 second one liners for their business and also learned ways to make more connections. Member Corner Bakery Café in Woodland Hills sponsored the Breakfast.
