VOLUME 18, NUMBER 2
SUMMER/FALL 2022
A Message from the GENERAL MANAGER It is hard to believe that nearly six months has passed since Cheryl and I arrived at Woodland. We are thrilled to be here and enjoying the greater Boston area immensely. Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome. I continue to find the weekly Coffee and Chat’s with Chad enlightening and helpful. I encourage each of you to sign up for one of the weekly chats or to schedule a different time with me if the Friday mornings do not work best for you.

I am proud to be part of the TEAM at Woodland. The staff is incredible and they work incredibly hard to provide great experiences for the Membership each and every day. It has been rewarding to see how the ongoing investments the membership continues to make in the Club, the course, and other amenities are paying off. The compliments alone regarding the golf course improvements have created a true sense of pride for the entire membership and team. Chris Donadio will show some of the benefits of your investments in a before and after comparison article included in this newsletter. I am impressed by the dedication of your fellow members who volunteer their time, expertise, and guidance to the Club on all of the Committees and the Board. They work tirelessly to perpetuate the Club forward with financial stability and strength. We are currently focused on providing a great summer experience while
recruiting for fall staff, beginning the budget process, and working on all the exciting Club events upcoming through December. During a recent committee meeting we played a brief game of trivia. The questions were:
• How many seats do we have for dining
when considering the indoor and outdoor dining venues? - The answer is 270. How many members can we comfortably serve with efficient service from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.? - The answer is 300 How many members can we comfortably serve with efficient service from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. (the most requested times)? - The answer is 120 How many meals have we served from April 1st through July 9th? - The answer is an estimated 12,000 What is the best resource we have to better serve you? - The dining reservation system.

When you are able to make reservations for dinner in advance, or call us when you are on your way, it will help us better serve you by spreading the reservations out over a longer period of time in order to accomodate more members and provide overall better service to everyone. We thank you for your continued support of the Club! Respectfully, Chad Becker General Manager
