National Netball Finals
We were very proud to have two netball teams reach the National netball finals the only school in the Yorkshire region to achieve this.
Both our U19s and U16s played earlier this month and after some incredibly hard fought matches, the U19s placed equal 13th and the U16s placed equal 9th in the country.
In the recent finals of the Schools Cup, both teams were also ranked in the top four in the country, along with our U14s.
International Boarding Visit
We are delighted to announce that our Headmaster, Mr Lockwood, will be visiting Hong Kong in May, accompanied by Mrs Cadman, Director of Admissions and Marketing. Our team are in Hong Kong for 4 days and then Mrs Cadman will be joined by Mr King, Assistant Head, Boarding for a visit to China.
They are looking forward to catching up with boarding agents, current parents and alumni whilst there.

International Summer School
School of Rock
We enjoyed two nights of rock last week with our spectacular production of School of Rock by Years 9 to 11 and a few of our sixth formers. A number of boarders were involved in this energetic performance including Rainie who played the Art teacher at the school and Yuliia, who played one of the parents. A bit of Miller Time
At the end of a busy term, Miller girls treated themselves to some Sunday self care. They relaxed and unwound, ready to go again the following week.
International Womens
Miller House is full of strong, determined young women who support each other and know that their one voice, can be the voice of change and influence and can encourage more voices to be heard. Our girls celebrated International Womens’ Day

National Careers Week
At the beginning of March we participated in a number of activities focused on National Careers Week. This included a visit from guest speaker, Duncan Cross, who is a Senior Director at ASDA. His talk focused on 'Food for Now, Food for Later'. Duncan spoke about opportunities for a career with ASDA and provided some background information about the think about when considering future
Three of our rugby teams travelled to Rosslyn Park 7s last week with the U16 team being the most successful in becoming one of the top 14 schools in the country.
No Snow Day for Boarders
There is no such thing as a snow day when you live on the school site! Boarders were up and ready for a day of school, whilst ensuring they also had time to enjoy the snow.
They even created a new pupil for Brodwell House!
Year 7 Maths Roadshow
This month, our Maths team, along with some Year 11 pupils, ran a Year 7 Maths Roadshow. They spent time solving puzzles and playing maths games. The day was a huge success with lots of learning and fun!
National Science Week
There was lots happening around school for National Science week including a science Treasure Hunt, a Year 10 fungi game and bean planting. The highlight however was visiting the mobile planetarium.
National Cross Country Finals
Congratulations to boarder Gaelle who was selected to run for West Yorkshire at the National Schools Cross Country Finals in Nottingham. Gaelle was one of five 5 Woodhouse Grove pupils to be selected. A really great achievement and the result of
Ski Trip to Andorra
No rest at February half term for some of our boarding colleagues who accompanied 72 of our Year 8 and Year 9 students to Andorra on a ski trip.
Both students and staff had a fantastic time; as well as great skiing conditions, they went ice skating and enjoyed numerous crepes!
