Trips and Tours Half Term
24 of our Sixth Form girls headed off to Barbados and St Lucia on Tuesday, arriving safely, before a great training session, a dip in the sea and some relaxation by the pool. Their first games were at sun set - 1st VII won 32-28 and the 2nds lost 25-20. Thanks to our kit sponsors jwhtanks.

47 students and 5 staff headed off to Iceland this morning on their 'Awe and Wonder' trip.
They'll be exploring the incredible physical and human geographical features while soaking in Icelandic culture. With the recent volcanic activity and a chance to see the Northern Lights, this trip is sure to be unforgettable!
We hope all our tourists enjoy their trip and make memories for life.
Youth Mental Health Training
Earlier in the week, 10 staff members, two governors and 19 volunteers, from Years 12 and 13, successfully completed their Youth Mental Health First Aid training. This training equips them with valuable skills to support the well-being of young people and shows our strong commitment to fostering a supportive and mentally healthy school environment. The session was expertly led by Debbie Spens from the Charlie Waller Foundation, an organisation dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and resilience.

ParentalSupervision - HowFarisTooFar?
Many parents will opt to use apps to track and monitor the location and online activities of their children. These apps can be really beneficial (e.g. physical safety) but as with nything there are drawbacks (e.g. invasion of privacy).

From financial scams, identity theft, using public WiFi and much more, cyber security is fundamental to all of our lives. Internet Matters have put together a number of articles and resources for parents and their children which go into these topics including: creating secure accounts, digital piracy and phishing and ransomware. There are many excellent resources for parents about how to help keeping children safe online.

Chicago—Senior Production
Tickets are now available for our Senior School production ‘Chicago - Teen Edition’ on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 December.

Student Librarians
Our Student Librarians have been busy helping with organising shelves and making the library look a bit neater! Miss Winks is recruiting more Student Librarians from Years 7 and 8. Duties include shelving fiction & non-fiction books, helping with library displays, helping to issue and return resources…and you get yourself a Librarian badge to wear on your blazer!!

Sports’ Presenter Q&A
We were thrilled to welcome back former pupil Becky Ives, now a well-known face in sports media with TNT Sports. Becky shared her inspiring journey from Woodhouse Grove student to sports presenter, showing how diverse careers in sport can be. Our Sixth Formers and Year 10s were lucky to hear her insights and ask great questions. This is the first in anew initiative—bringing in guest speakers each term to broaden our students' horizons about careers in sport.

Five students were awarded their Grove Awards for activities completed last year. Sam T, Darcey B and Ruby B received awards for their Year 7 challenges, whilst Gabriella H and Isabelle H got their awards for Year 8.
