Reception pupils spent time outside drawing

have been working hard on designing London vehicles. This week they measured the axles, attached the wheels and added

Key Stage 1 Gardening Club are starting to see the results of all their hard work!! The potatoes are almost ready for lifting and the children were fascinated by the size of the onions! Year 2 are becoming 'sweet pea experts' as they continued to tie them up to the canes with twist ties.

Year 1 & Year 6 had their Buddy picnic outside on the lawn. The children gave cards which they had made for their buddies. Everyone enjoyed a yummy picnic and ice lollies! Big thanks to Mrs Howcroft for organising the sandwiches.

Knitwits Club
Our beginners knitwits club knitted lovely blackberries this term, and our advanced knitters have knitted crabs and mermaids for an ocean scene. Great progress by all!

Year 2 enjoyed their 'Celebration Day' at Yorkshire Wildlife Park where they took part in a workshop all about animals and their habitats. They looked at lots of different animals in the park and had fun on the adventure playground.

Year 4 have been learning about State of Matter in their science lessons. Last week they made a cloud in a jar which helped them to understand the role that evaporation and condensation play in the water cycle.

Year 2 have been making clay sculptures of reptiles. They have painted them using colour mixing skills to create different colours and patterns and made them a shoebox habitat.

Year 4 had a fantastic day in the woods this week. They spent the day in a Pop-Up Forest Park in Northcliff Woods, Shipley. The children enjoyed playing outdoors with their friends, getting their hands dirty (and clothes!) and having exciting adventures all in our local environment.

It was a super way to end what has been an amazing year with these children! More photos on flickr

Following a busy end of term for Year 6, science this week allowed them to take a breather with some chromatography!

Y6 End of Year Celebrations

A fantastic prize day evening to celebrate the achievements of our wonderful Year 6 pupils as their Brontë journey nears its end. We are so proud of all of them.

U11 A team beat WGS U12 B team by just 8 runs! A brilliant game played in a lovely spirit. We will look back and reminisce in six years time when these lads are playing together as

They also performed three fantastic end of year show performances of "I'm An Eleven Year Old - Get Me Out Of Here!'.
Due to budgetary constraints the 'I'm A Celebrity' team used a school instead of the jungle and pupils instead of celebs!
Year 6 pupils tackled Bush Tucker trials including eating a 1970s style school dinner (liver and onions with lumpy mash), avoiding the hundreds of tiny critters (Key Stage 1 pupils) and even how to deal with embarrassing parents! They displayed impeccable comic timing, highly entertaining songs and slick choreography.
