How can we get young people taking on Leadership roles GROUP A
16 + = helper! Not taken on leadership before 18 + Venturers and DFs Get them to do something they like! Opportunities Elfins/pioneers – play work, leading games etc.
GROUP B TEAM PLAYERS – includiogn everyone /considering everyone Encourage oyoung people but not at the expense of everyone Find different roles for different people (work collaboratively /don’t push people) Support structure – slowly develop responsibilities in line with skills – help to recognise the skills they have Not everyone has to lead Good leaders: Porofessor Dumbledore Arthur from Merlin (evolved leadership style) Gandalf Thoren Oakenshield Katniss Everdeen Skeeter (The Help) Leaders are: Wisdom Inspirational Confident Friendly Approachable Good listener Communicator
