MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: 13-Year Member, Golfer & Grill Master... Stephen Carillo
If you’ve spent any time around the Clubhouse or on the course, chances are you’ve crossed paths with longtime member Stephen Carillo. Known for his easygoing nature, sense of humor, and generous spirit, Stephen has been a part of the Woodbridge family for more than 13 years.

Originally introduced to the Club by his friend JP Badel after a departure from Brookside, Stephen quickly made Woodbridge his home away from home. Whether he’s out on the course or relaxing with a drink and a friendly game of dice, he’s all about enjoying life and making connections.
This month, we sat down with Stephen for a quick Q\&A to learn more about what makes him tick.
Q&A with Stephen Carillo
How long have you been a member at Woodbridge?
Thirteen years and counting!
What brought you to the Club originally?
A friend of mine, JP Badel, had recently joined after leaving Brookside and encouraged me to check it out.
What’s your favorite way to spend time here?
Golfing, hanging out with friends, enjoying a drink, and rolling dice.
What’s your go-to post-round meal or drink?
A burger with sweet potato fries—though sadly, we don’t have those on the menu—and a Jameson Black Barrel.
Any proud moments on the course?
Surviving a bee sting on Vineyard 9! That was a memorable one.
— Yes it was! That was the first time I’ve seen an ambulance on the golf course! We’re so thankful you were OK! — Kristine
What’s your current handicap or your goal for the season?
I’m at an 8 right now, but my goal is just to keep playing year-round and not worry too much about the number.
Who’s your favorite person to golf with?
There are way too many to name just one—I’ve been lucky to have great golf buddies over the years.
Tell us a fun fact most members don’t know about you.
I love to cook, both at home and for large events. Cooking for the amazing Woodbridge staff at the Summer BBQ was such a rewarding experience, and I enjoyed every minute of it— especially seeing how much others enjoyed it too.
— We do love it when you BBQ for us! Thank you! — Kristine
How do you spend time outside the Club?
Watching my grandkids play sports, gardening, mowing lawns, and fixing things around the house.

What advice would you give a new member?
Don’t take things too seriously—just enjoy yourself. A lot of people would love to be a member here but can’t, so appreciate it!
Do you have a favorite hole on the course?
All of them—and depending on the day, that includes the ones I like least, too.
Who inspires you—on or off the course?
My family, especially my wife, Leanne. We’ve been married for almost 40 years, and she’s been my best friend throughout it all. Her support has inspired me both professionally and personally.

Do you play other sports or enjoy any hobbies?
Not anymore—unless you count dice as a sport!
