When you hear ‘visibility’ the first thing that comes to mind for most people is social media. Amy Porterfield says, “Statistically, a ‘good’ day on social media means 70% of your followers don’t see a thing.” With all that time, energy, and effort put into becoming more visible on social media - what could be done to leverage that input more effectively?
What if, instead of focusing on the people who are already in front of you, and hoping that the right people will find your posts, you went directly to your dream clients and converted them into paying clients?
Here are four easy ways you can amplify your visibility, so you can build credibility and authority without having to constantly be posting on social media:
Networking and Conversations
How often are you in conversations talking about what you do and who you help? If your answer isn’t every day, you have ample room for quickly increasing your visibility. Networking can be online or in-person and it can be as formal or informal as you like. From coffee chats to networking events, you have endless opportunities to get into more conversations. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce reported that “63% of entrepreneurs gain new business through networking events,” and that “the average event yields 2-3 solid new contacts” This amplifies your visibility and extends your reach because “each contact spreads to their own network of 400 people” (OECD, https://www oecd org/) Just being in the room has more power than you think, it can be your direct link to customers or referrals
