Welcome to April's Issue of the Women Thrive Magazine. It is such a beautiful time of the year when everything springs back to life and the days become longer It feels like it's a new opportunity to start the year again.

In March, we just celebrated Women's History Month, and at Women Thrive, we held one of the largest annual women empowerment events yet It was a life-changing experience for all who participated.

Most people said the best thing about this event was not just the epic and life-changing content delivered by 50+ speakers but the sense of community and sisterhood that this event brought together.

Karyn had experienced loss at a young age causing SUPPRESSED GRIEF –it started at 10 when her father died Life went on somehow, and within three short years, when her mum met a fantastic man and remarried, only to have him die too. She was left alone because her mom was struggling with the grief – left to her own devices at age 15, still very much grieving and now missing her mum but putting up a brave front

All this also transposed to another lossthe loss of her childhood Having a lot of freedom, as you do as a 15-year-old, she covered up numbing out the pain withpartying, drinking, and smoking. It looked on the outside like she was having a ball but crying inside, feeling alone and sad, believing she must have done something wrong.

Believing that she was just:

AFRAID TO BE herself - not sure who Karyn was other than this party gal. So afraid of being judged and rejected by others. But the little girl was saying - What about me? Who is looking after me? To add the icing on the cake, she lost her mum 15 years later and was devastated again

Fast track to years later, after returning to school and becoming a CPA accountant, and had a great job. However, she knew she still wanted more, was sick of the excess weight, and wanted more from life but could not seem to get her shit together by herself – this is when Karyn discovered the self-development world and then hired her first coach who believed in her more than she believed in herself allowing her to see her potential

She had lots of aha moments, and it was her aha moments that led her to DISCOVER HER PASSION IN LIFE She knew she wanted to serve others the way the coach had helped her – leading her to go then and train in many modalities and become an expert in stopping overthinking and preventing burnout in women due to loss and grief.

The training held Karyn in good stead handling the news with strength when just under two years ago, being told the dreaded words ‘You have cancer’ and had to undergo extensive neck dissection

Despite all the challenges, Karyn is a cheerful unicorn lover who believes there is magic in everything. >>

What do you think is the biggest challenge female entrepreneurs face today?

There are many challenges that female entrepreneurs must overcome. I believe one of the most significant obstacles that women face today is the impact of their past experiences and traumas on their beliefs about themselves and the world around them.

Historically, women have had to fight against discrimination in business and entrepreneurship, leading to women as a gender internalizing beliefs of inferiority, lack of confidence, and self-doubt, which science has proved can be transferred through genes.

Trauma can profoundly impact an individual's self-esteem, self-worth, and ability to take risks and make bold decisions. Female entrepreneurs who have experienced trauma may struggle to assert themselves, trust their instincts, and take the necessary steps to grow their businesses. Moreover, many women have experienced personal traumas that have only compounded these challenges.

Overcoming these challenges requires internal work, such as self-reflection, healing, and selfcare, as well as external support, such as mentorship, networking, and advocacy for gender equality. By empowering women to overcome their past experiences and beliefs, we can foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for female entrepreneurs, leading to more significant innovation and success for all. Through experience, I have learned that women who want to succeed must invest in personal growth and development.

What is the most important lesson you learned as an entrepreneur?

Inside of everyone is a real-life superhero; being a superhero doesn't have to involve wearing a cape (although why wouldn’t you want to?) and fighting off bad guys. You can bring out your inner superwoman by identifying your strengths and passions. I learned that everyone has the answer within us; we need help locating the solutions and getting a new perspective that will allow us to heal and transform.

Let's talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in, and why should someone work with you?

I work with overthinking women stuck in an endless loop of unpleasant emotions where those thoughts are causing stress in the body Women who feel they can't take in what's happening struggle to be present They often find themselves reaching for anything to give them pleasure to make them feel better. These feelings cause a flow-on effect on their work, health, and relationships Who hasn't been there – Right?

But realize it doesn't last because the real problem is still there. I work with them in a one-on-one breakthrough program, the ultimate education program that causes rapid learning of wisdom into their unconscious and conscious knowledge. There is no longer a need for years of talk therapy or even positive affirmations as they already have that positivity inside them. They are wiser in their soul, making better choices, noticing different things keeping them safe, and sabotaging is no longer necessary Emotionally, they are better regulated, less triggered, and have different automatic responses and behaviours.

It is a self-inner, quick, long-lasting conflict resolution process, with deep healing back to the core which breaks the genetic cycle (according to the science of epigenetics), You no longer must live with the traumas passed down through your genes.

It is an adventurous virtual reality non-emotional process designed specifically for women taking into consideration that women attach emotions to every event and so need a different approach that allows them to always feel safe without reliving the pain and trauma.

I help them identify all their hidden sabotaging behaviours, so they can confidently move toward their goals. After a woman has experienced this breakthrough, they NO longer fear the unknown or grieve the past and live in control of their actions and choices, feeling true joy

I love watching their faces transform from the first session; it gives me such pleasure knowing I have helped them rediscover themselves again so they can succeed in business and in life.

Success to me is finding a sense of fulfilment and purpose in life Feeling a sense of satisfaction in my accomplishments and feeling like my life has meaning and contributes positively to the world. Success also includes having fun and enjoying the pleasures of this world; after all, my number one value is to enjoy life

Tools to Grow Your Business Without Social Media

You don’t have to do what the experts say to grow your business “You must be on social media if you’re an entrepreneur”. At least that’s what the experts say. I used to believe it. But then, I came to the realization, that as an entrepreneur, I get to do things my way After all, isn’t that why we became entrepreneurs so that we can have the freedom to do things our way?

Have caught yourself mindlessly scrolling on social media? When I discovered how much time I was wasting by scrolling mindlessly on social media, checking engagement rates, and yet again scrolling mindlessly, I decided social media wasn’t for me I wasn’t energized when I closed the app, in fact, I often felt drained.

Part of it was the political climate, part of it was the fact that I was tired of the comparison game, and yet, another part of it was the bro-marketing “Everyone” making high six, seven, and eight figures, leaving the beginners to feel inferior, like imposters, and like there was no hope for their success in a saturated market.

The side of social media that didn’t align with my values It felt icky to support platforms that were a trap for comparison, doubt, and inaction for many who think they must follow the crowd and do what everyone else does. Especially those who are new to entrepreneurship and aren’t sure where to begin to start and grow their personal brand and business. It wasn’t aligning with my values anymore. So, I closed the app and decided not to get sucked back in.

How to grow your business without social media.

You might be wondering, how are you growing your business, Robyn? How are you going to get clients if you aren’t on social media? Great questions I used social media to build relationships and drive traffic to my podcast, The Robyn Graham Show. I was never willing to invest time solely in creating content for social media, platforms I didn’t own. My cornerstone content was created for my podcast and blog.

Once I broke up with social media, nothing changed in my business except my level of focus and the amount of time I had to do more valuable growth and revenue-producing activities. Social media should never be the mainstay or cornerstone of your business content Your account or the platform could disappear tomorrow Think about the platforms you own

Your website, blog, and email list belong to you and no one else In addition, platforms like Pinterest and YouTube are search engines like Google. If you have SEO on your website and use blogging as your cornerstone content, you are searchable and can be found

Likewise, speaking and PR are key for growing a business If you are asked to speak, the invitee trusts you and therefore their audience will trust you. The same for podcast guesting and writing articles for publication. You have more opportunities to build your authority when you are strategic with your visibility and content creation.

Podcasting is also a great tool for increasing the awareness of your brand you own your show, you get to demonstrate your expertise and authority in your niche, and gain the trust of your audience. A bonus since trust determines buying practices

Ask yourself these questions to decide if social media is the place for you Whether you stay on social media for the fun of it or continue to grow your business on social media, I encourage you to consider where you invest your time and energy. Where will you be able to provide the most value without the risk of losing the content, followers, or resources? Ask yourself, what platform feels good to me? Another question to ask yourself is, where can I reach the most people with the most security for my brand and business? Look Up

When preparing for a speech it can be tempting to focus on the words on the page. You might find yourself sitting in front of your computer having a total mind blank before starting a presentation. Perhaps you madly read over the speech before presenting and it makes you feel more anxious This can contract our energy rather than expand it Instead of looking down to a page - Look Up Go outside and gaze up to the clouds, the trees, and the night sky If you’re in a room, look up to the ceiling. This will help open your crown chakra and allow downloads from the universe to flowon in. It will help you feel calm even under pressure, you’ll gain perspective, and above all, tap into your reason for speaking

Find a Performance Scent

Our sense of smell is powerful for triggering our memory Just one hint of a scent transports you to a time and place in your life or can remind you of a person. This is an incredible tool to use for public speaking. Choose a particular essential oil or fragrance that you associate with confident speaking and smell it beforehand – every time. It’s especially useful if you’re not in the mood for speaking and you need to snap into the zone Essential oils to aid clear communication include peppermint, spearmint, frankincense, rosemary, and my favourite – eucalyptus.

Practice Aura Breathing

Deep breathing is fantastic before and during speaking to calm nerves and produce a great voice Oxygen fuels our voice – and without breath, there is no voice Practising Aura

Breathing takes things to the next level as it charges our energy. So much of speaking is not what we say but the energy we bring Interlace your fingers and push the palms away and draw your arms up in front of you to coincide with your inhale and then circle the arms down by your side to match the exhale Repeat As you’re breathing visualise your aura or energetic field growing and glowing around you. This helps you weave a gorgeous vibrant orb around you to take incredible presence into your speaking scenario

Use Crystals

Tapping into the power of crystals is a great way to speak with more confidence They can be worn in your jewellery, placed in your pocket or your bag or sit on your desk if it’s a virtual presentation.

Crystals serve as incredible symbols to remind you what you’re capable of! My favourite crystals for speaking include -

Rose Quartz – Self-love and self-confidence

Aquamarine – Courage of self-expression

Sodalite – Helps you speak your vision

Speak Affirmations into Water

Self-talk manifests as real talk So giving yourself a pep talk before speaking is a must My favourite affirmations include -

'I have something valuable to say'

'People want to listen to me' 'I deserve this space'

To supercharge your affirmations, speak them into a glass of water. The molecules in the water will absorb your energy and then speak to the molecules in your body and you’ll infuse the positivity with every sip It will also encourage you to stay hydrated which is a must when speaking

Here are my top three tips -

Don't talk yourself out of talking! Have you ever thought – should I or shouldn't I say something? And then by the time you've made up your mind, the moment has passed or someone has jumped in and said what you were thinking?! Use your voice! Share your opinion, your ideas, and your LIGHT! And have the impact and influence you're meant to have

Finish your Phrases Strong

The rising inflection or upspeak at the end of complete phrases is a bad habit, as it signals to the listener that you're looking for a yes or no response. I like to call it the inflection of validation. So if you're sharing an opinion or idea where you don't want a 'yes/no' response from the audience, imagine the last word shoots out like a dart – strong and forward, rather than slide up like a skate ramp!

Our voice can creep up into the highpitched region of our head when we're trying to be friendly or feeling nervous. We want our voice to be connected to our power – our heart space – so people don't just hear our voice, they feel it! So breathe low and deep and feel the vocal vibrations behind the walls of your chest. Speak from the heart – literally! 3

But what happens if you don’t know what you don’t know? Well, you look, see, tell the truth, and find those who do know. Seek out others that are living a life they love, living their truth. Ask them how to listen, take notes, and learn I don’t mean compare and despair, I mean truly absorb what works, apply what resonates, and let go of what doesn’t.

Here’s how the Universe works, whatever you focus on and speak will come to you. Sounds simple, right? It is once you know the rules. The rules work like this:

1 - Only speak good, kind, compassionate words to yourself and about others.

2 - Do not gossip or speak self-deprecating words to yourself or about anyone If you need to, create a contract with yourself on paper and sign it for two weeks and see what happens.

3 - Anytime you begin to play out a negative scenario in your mind, take an imaginary pair of scissors, cut the cord to that thought or vision, and immediately replace it with something positive and kind.

4 - GRATITUDE is the ATTITUDE. If you hear yourself complaining or whining (yes adults whine plenty), STOP, BREATHE and speak gratitude It may be as simple as “I have fresh water to drink”, “I got to my job on time today”, or “I can walk outside and feel sunshine on my face.” Celebrate that you’re alive and healthy. If you’re not healthy, only picture yourself healed even without the evidence and tell the 72 trillion cells in your body, “Thank you for taking care of me.”

5 - If you need to cry, let it out, it’s simply a release of energy and you don’t want to hold that in your body where it can create disease “dis-ease, you are not at ease”. If it’s a challenge to do so, listen to a moving song, watch a movie that moves you, call someone you love, and tell them how grateful you are until you can allow that release to come

These are just a few simple steps to changing your world and IT WILL change your world. You are not your mind. You have a brain, which is an organ in your body just like your heart, but the thoughts that float through it are not always the truth. The truth comes from a higher place, it’s simple, clean, and lands within you. If it’s complicated, uncomfortable, or hurtful, then that’s your Monkey Mind talking to you. What is Monkey Mind you ask? Well, that is our lovely mind chattering away swinging from doubt to worry and back to doubt again. When you catch this lovely little monkey, or as in “The Pink Panther” movies Peter Sellers would say “monkey”, just tell him/her “Thank you for sharing, but we’re safe, all is well.”

When you choose to live your life in this manner, you will begin to see shifts and changes different from what you may be used to. Instead of “things never work out for me”, perhaps you will begin to notice differently, “Hey, that did work out”.

Where does it begin? It begins with one small, sweet step toward a goal. Something attainable, nothing overwhelming or large. It also has to be something you will do (action), not something you are going to stop doing. Ask for support in this goal from someone who has your best interest at heart. The goal may look like this; reply to an email you’ve been putting off, incorporating a 15” walk, call a family member to tell them how much they mean to you, something attainable, and make sure you put a “by when?” This is very important as it’s the beginning of living in a very different way.

One thing I strive for when helping people find success through coaching and education is to help guide them through unproductive thoughts and actions so they can blossom as a person

An expected behavioral problem I notice time and again is self-sabotage. It can manifest in numerous ways with many root causes, but at the end of the day, we need to look at selfsabotage head-on and stop in its tracks in any way possible.

So how can you stop self-sabotage? The most important thing is that you realize you're doing it and take the necessary steps toward preventing it Some ways to change your thoughts to positive and productive ones are:

Start slowly and address one issue at a time using a reasonable timeframe

Document your progress to keep track of what triggers your negative beliefs and actions.

Schedule a consultation with a counselor to help create and work through your plan

Stopping self-sabotage as soon as possible will help you focus on how you need to change and become more successful

Acknowledge and Change Self-Limiting Beliefs

Once you acknowledge counterproductive behavior and destructive patterns like selflimiting beliefs, it's time to make changes. Make sure others aren't blocking your path to thriving as a person. Any toxic relationships you have may need to come to a close if you want to put yourself on track for more success and happiness.

Focus on All Aspects of Self Care

Lastly, if you're addressing behavior that's a roadblock to your personal and professional growth, you must tailor every aspect of your life to promote a more successful you. One of the best places to begin is with your physical health. Exercise, eat well, drink less, and take care of yourself. Paying attention to your body can help wake up your mind so you stop limiting your overall health and wellness. Yesterday, I found an old work photo of me with that oh-so-appropriate but the not-too-smiley expression of a corporate headshot Glancing at this old version of myself, the woman trapped in an executive nightmare of her own making had me suddenly welling up.

A faint memory of that knot in my stomach stirred the familiar flutter of anxiety I used to feel every morning as the alarm startled me awake Yes

I once dreaded every damn day I had to go to THAT place The epicenter of high-adrenaline media deadlines, a dog-eatdog world of landing big contracts, client functions, and sky-high ad budgets.

Who was that woman? When I landed the role of General Manager, I was on fire. A sixfigure salary, corporate travel overseas, a corner office, and an amazing team. I was on top of the world – until I wasn’t The GFC eroded the once glorious publishing firm I worked for, and things turned really ugly, really quickly and I went down with it - mentally

I lost myself wholly ALL OF ME Back then, I didn’t understand that I had been unconsciously perpetuating old stories of believing I wasn’t good enough. I didn’t deserve and had to prove myself to feel worthy. And before you ask, “what’s that got to do with anything…”, let me tell you. It has EVERYTHING to do with it

You see, my not-good-enoughness had me living in constant fear of rejection and losing it all, and to avoid these feelings of utter inadequacy, I was willing to do and take almost anything. Pair that with my deeply rooted body shame stemming from childhood conditioning and you have a very toxic self-talk trap. I felt like I had no voice, had no courage to say NO or stand up for myself - happy to take a backseat in all aspects of my life and accept ‘my lot’

So here I am now – I’m calling it – for ALL the women who resonate with this or are going through the corporate hot wash cycle We’ve got to ignite the CHANGE Where we’re at is not good for us. It’s not healthy. We’re trapped, in a patriarchal system that hasn’t got our best interest in mind – and hasn’t for centuries!

Just over 12 years ago, I was living my best life, or so I thought. I was in my dream job in Human Resources, I had just gotten married and my husband and I had built our first home. If someone had told me I would eventually be a stay-athome mum to seven children I would have most likely laughed at such a suggestion Yet here I am, and life is better than ever

But there is one thing I have been struggling with lately and that is identifying with the negative picture of motherhood I am presented with every day on social media One of struggle, exhaustion, and irrelevance, where I forsake myself for my children, and that it is parred for the course.

When it comes to motherhood, there is this idea of “solidarity in the trenches ” That we are all in it together and this is somehow meant to take the edge off. There is no discussion of goals or achievements but instead endless memes about sleep deprivation, the toll of night feeds, and the drain of toddler tantrums I didn’t want to disappear down this rabbit hole. Misery loves company and I was not about to pull up a chair.

As a stay-at-home mum to seven young

children (aged 12, 11, 9,7,5, 3, and 1), this is not a season I must simply mark time on until it passes and my life can begin again. This is my life and I am not surviving, I am thriving! I am many things, I am a wife, a mother, a friend, a member of the PTA, and a hypnobirthing instructor. I love fashion, make-up, cooking, baking, working out, and early morning sea swimming

I wear all of these hats and yet I refuse to identify with the bedraggled depiction of a mum that social media constantly presents me with. But it begs the question can both versions of myself successfully co-exist? Emma, the mother to my seven children, and Emma the woman, with goals and a zest for life. My answer is yes, so I chose to rewrite this narrative for myself

1 - I stopped blaming motherhood for my struggles and held myself accountable. If I am stressed and impatient getting all seven children into the car for the school run at 8 am, it’s not because that’s what “mum life” looks like, it’s because I didn’t get up early enough! Hold yourself accountable for your choices and the impact they have.

2 - I became intentional with my time. I decided what I wanted to achieve in the day and committed to those things. I don’t faff. I use my time efficiently and don’t make my busy life an excuse to not achieve my goals E g , I cannot get to the gym to work out, but I can work out every other day for 12-15 minutes at home, albeit with a baby attached to me.

3 - Never start the day in a deficit. Telling yourself you will “do it in the morning” is a lie. You won’t have time. Prepare in the evening. Leave uniforms out, lunches made, and school bags in the car Tidy up the kitchen and do dishes In the morning you are starting with a clean slate.

4 - Start where you are.

There is nothing more demotivating than setting a goal and feeling like it is consistently out of reach This feels so demoralising. If like me, you always have children with you and feel your life is at capacity, then make a commitment to yourself that every day you will find 10 minutes to do something for yourself Read a few chapters of a book with a coffee, do some yoga stretches, and whatever is doable for you now, start there.

5 - I apply the phrase “mood follows action” to everything!

Do I always feel like exercising? No, but my mood is always better when I do. Do I always want to prep dinner in the morning? No, but if I do, then in the afternoon madness, I am always glad I did. And it works the other way too. If I decide to eat junk food instead of opting for a healthy choice, I will inevitably feel worse after I made that choice

Don’t get me wrong, being a mum to seven is hard. I work harder now than I ever did before I had children But encouraging women to thrive in motherhood is what I am most passionate about and so I want to use my experience to inspire other mothers to live their best life now! It’s a privilege for me to say I am now a motivational speaker at women’s charity groups, workshops, breastfeeding support groups, and anywhere I can. I want to empower and remind them exactly who they are and who they can be! Strong, smart, courageous, ambitious, relevant, and motivated. I encourage mums to visualise the life they want, and intentionally make decisions that line up with that image every day. I challenge you mother, don’t accept the negative transcript social media is feeding you today. Rewrite the narrative!

5 Things To Do For Your Sexless Marriage

Your marriage started off with passion both in and out of the bedroom. After all, you chose this person of all the people on the planet to marry. And at one point, there is a good chance you felt butterflies at the mere sight of this person.

If you are like 15-20% of marriages or longterm partnerships out there, you might be a far cry from that now and instead find yourself in a sexless or low-sex marriage. And if you are like 85% of couples out there, you find yourself struggling in the realm of sexual or physical intimacy. This brings us to the two most important things for you to hear. You are not broken. And you are not alone.

What is a sexless marriage?Although there are many definitions, one of the most commonly accepted is that a sexless marriage is a marriage in which the couple has sex less than 10 times per year.

What is a low-sex marriage? A marriage or relationship that has less sex than the average but more than 10 times per year. The average heterosexual married couple in the U.S. has sex once per week.

But the definitions don’t matter as much as how you feel about the sex you are having in your marriage. What is the frequency? The quality? Is it fireworks or smoldering embers between the sheets or maybe the fire is out altogether?

Have a conversation about your sexual intimacy

This is the first and most important step. Without this step, there can be no others Your partner can not read your mind, so you must share with them how you feel about your sex life. Be sure to consider the timing of the conversation - not in the bedroom but in a moment of connection outside of the bedroom is advisable Be sure to use “I” language rather than “you” language and you will have a much better chance of your partner really listening rather than getting defensive. For example, “I feel sad about our sex life right now because for me that means ”

Share what you want to create in your sex life

While it is so important to share with them your feelings and thoughts on the matter, it is equally important and even more change-oriented to share with them what you desire to have with them in regard to sexual intimacy. For example, “I want so badly to have connected and intimate sex with you again” or “I want so much to hear how much you desire me or that you find me beautiful and that helps me to want sex”.

Prioritize your intimacy

Intimacy extends far outside of the bedroom and starts well before sexy time. It can be helpful to work on other realms of intimacy with your partner beyond sexual intimacy. Things such as intellectual intimacy, recreational intimacy, spiritual intimacy, physical intimacy, and more Intimacy is about being truly seen by your spouse and also truly seeing them. Intimacy is about connection and depth and trust. What are some non-sexual ways you can foster intimacy with your honey today?

Cultivate your own sex drive.

Sex drive is not a static set point Our sexual drives waxes and wanes with stress, age, the time of our cycle, medications, diet, exercise and so much more. Regardless of the crazy chilly temperatures around the country, Springtime is right around the corner. Yes, my thermometer here in the Northeast USA says 35F degrees, but in the yard, I’ve got daffodils and cherry blossoms powering thru like they don’t have a care in the world You’ve got to love that hopeful enthusiasm, Mother Nature always seems to have her eye just beyond the horizon I can’t wait!

One of the best parts about Spring is that it not only brings us some beautiful, well-deserved warmer weather, it also delivers fantastic opportunities for huge money savings. I’m talking about a garden.

Hear me out – Dirt is pretty much free and produce prices are going thru the roof Personally, I have no green thumb whatsoever, but my husband is a genius at gardening Over the years he’s created a small garden with three small raised beds, and every year I’m astonished at how much produce we get out of it.

Six small tomato plants in the Spring end up about seven feet tall by August and yield hundreds of pounds of tomatoes over the summer. Considering the average cost of tomatoes is running $2/pound these days, those $10 in plants end up saving us about $500/year, and that’s just the tomatoes!

Once we saw the tomato plants shooting into the sky each year, we tested out some other go-to veggies and they worked great too. Green and red peppers, beans, carrots, herbs (have you seen the cost of herbs in the supermarket? Crazy!), he’s grown it all. Honestly, once you plant those seeds and little plants, get some water on them, and let the sunshine go work on them, you’ll be astonished at how they take care of themselves We tried corn once and it grew beautifully, unfortunately, the squirrels were even more impressed than we were – day and night we’d spot them climbing the stalks, grabbing an ear of corn that was as big as they were, and attempting to run off with it. It was hilarious. Also somewhat maddening. I’m still finding old corn cobs around the nearby trees! Do yourself a favor and learn from us – don’t grow corn in your garden If you do anyway, set up a camera

If you’re planning your first garden this year, a little research will tell you that a good number of vegetables grown prefer to start in cooler weather, which would mean planning them now and starting them in late March - early April at the latest.

Some of you will be totally comfortable starting with seeds, but if you’re more of a gardening newbie, head to the nursery and get a few veggie seedlings to start. The people there are always fabulous and happy to help with decision-making Seedlings are very inexpensive and it takes a bit of the guesswork out of planting. Get those plants comfy in your yard, water them once in a while if the rain is stingy, then sit back and love the knowledge that you’re crushing a good part of your grocery bill, helping the environment, and perhaps getting yourself a bit more sunshine to boot (go Vitamin D!), and maybe even thrilling the local squirrels.
