This magazine looks at how actions portrayed by women in the 18th century (the light) have affected us today, and also the turmoil of the government's plan for women today (the dark). My project covers a span of 3 century’s, looking at the key and important elements of feminism from each section of time. For example, the setting up of the suffragettes in the late 19th century, this was a huge period of ‘light’, but the pain and suffering endured by the suffragettes was a period of ‘dark’. Understanding feminism is something important for young people to understand, because in reality, feminists strives for the equality of all sexes, and is an important concept to understand, as well as looking at the modern day privileges that we face due to the acts of bravery from women in centuries before us.
