Abi Daré in Conversation with Cynthia Gacheri

New York Times bestselling author of The Girl with the Louding Voice, Abi Daré, joined WGEP Kenya scholar, Cynthia Gacheri, for an inspiring conversation about girls' education, resilience, and achieving your dreams. Supporters may recognize Abi from our virtual book club event in June 2021, and may recognize Cynthia from Ndajee at Home 2020, where she performed her original spoken word poem, An African Tear.

Performance by Ayodele Drum & Dance

Ayodele Drum and Dance exists to foster community from a feminine perspective through the study and performance of diasporic African drum and dance. Ayodele is a Yoruba word meaning “Joy in the home," and WGEP is thrilled to have this talented group participating in our 2021 virtual Ndajee celebration. Learn more about Ayodele on their website.

Since 2004, our girls' education and literacy programs have impacted over 20,000 women and girls in 172 of the most impoverished communities in Senegal & Kenya.
