Iceland – Land of Science
A chance to see some of the natural phenomena studied across all Year groups at WGS in Science subjects. Whether that is discussion of migration and evolution of whales in Biology, walking on a melting glacier and learning about the impacts of carbon dioxide on our planet for Chemistry or seeing and appreciating the physics behind the northern lights.

Berlin – History, Language and Culture
Berlin has a unique and fascinating history but it is also Germany’s largest metropolis and cultural hub. This trip will suit anyone with an interest in modern Germany or the history of Berlin but will be particularly beneficial for students of A Level German or A Level History.

Fitness and charity challenge – invitation only.
A Level Geography Residential - Bude
To undertake practical fieldwork linking directly to the A-level specification and in preparation for data collection work. A necessity of the curriculum for Geography – compulsory trip.
Battlefields Trip
A visit to the First World War battlefields of France and Belgium. The trip will deepen the students’ knowledge of a key topic for GCSE History.
Year 7 Residential - Oaker Wood
Team building and outdoor activities to develop skills of leadership and teamwork.
South Africa Sport and Culture Tour
Expose students to African culture, including Table Mountain and a safari, as well as providing opportunity to play sport against South African schools.

Professional football coaching and fixtures along with the opportunity to see a live Serie A game as well as immersion into Italian culture.
Rome – Religious Studies
The home of the Catholic Church, Rome is the perfect destination, particularly for GCSE and A-Level Religious Studies students, to discover more about the history of Christianity. All students will develop informed insights on fundamental questions relating to identity, belonging, purpose, truth, values and commitments –leaving them better positioned to express their own beliefs and discuss differing views.
Science and Magic in Orlando
A trip focused on learning about science, particularly physics and engineering, through visits to Kennedy Space Centre, Disney, Universal and Orlando Science Center with interactive workshops.
