Schools play a huge part in nurturing social mobility and helping to eradicate inequality. Bursaries reflect the founding ethos of most independent schools which can no longer be seen as privileged islands in a 21st century.

Supporters recognise the rich diversity that bursaries bring. Research shows that each bursary student has gone on to influence at least 20 others.

The Woldingham School bursary programme transforms the lives of gifted young women. Six students are currently benefiting from a fully funded place at Woldingham thanks to the generosity of our parents and alumnae.

Our commitment is to extend bursary provision, wherever possible, to all those who can benefit from an education at Woldingham; we know our school experience changes lives and extends opportunities that would not otherwise be available.

Our aim to is to offer 30 fully funded bursaries by 2030.

To achieve this, we need to add 100 leaves to our WSHA sponsored bronze bursary trees each year. You can donate a leaf from as little as £12.50 per month.

Your support will enable students like Phoebe, who is training to be a doctor, to fulfil their potential.

Our whole school community is at the heart of support for the bursary programme.

Together we can make memories and transform the lives of future generations of Woldingham girls.

Bursary recipient

Donate your own leaf or a family leaf. You can choose to make a regular gift from £12.50* per month, a regular annual gift from £150* per month or a one-off gift from £750*. All completed gifts will be marked by a personalised leaf on our bursary trees. If you are a UK tax payer, adding Gift Aid to your donation will increase your gift by 25% at no further cost to you.
