RELIABLE HYDRAULIC PARKING SYSTEMS FROM WOHR
In India's congested urban centres, space for parking cars is a real problem. No wonder multilevel car parking systems are growing in usage and popularity. Multilevel car parking systems and automatic car parking systems offer real solutions that create numbers of parking spaces in a small footprint. They also help to eliminate the time, stress and fuel involved in searching for suitable parking space. Multilevel car parking systems generally use hydraulic lifts to move vehicles up and down, and even sideways. The hydraulic lift elevates the vehicle on the platform in order to make room for a second car to park underneath. It also safely lowers the platform once the second car moves out. Components and working of a hydraulic system Generally, hydraulic car lifts have three main components: - Tank for oil or some other fluid - one or more pistons in a cylinder - Motor-powered pump In a streamlined design, these components are usually built into the car parking system, on either or both sides of the platformas well as the vertical arms that hold it in place. Hydraulic systems make use of fluid pressure to move parts. The initial movement of the pump is activated with electricity. The pump pushes the fluid out of the storage container into the cylinder that houses the piston/s. As pressure builds up in the fluid, it pushes the piston upward. This generates enough force to life heavy loads and to hold them there until the fluid is withdrawn by the pump. As the cylinders and pistons are attached to the car lift's platform, they activate the controlled raising and lowering of the platform. Hydraulic systems are reliable, compact and can be streamlined in the design. Being simpler in design with fewer parts, there are fewer places where it may break down.
