Location
Albury-Wodonga has always been a meeting place of two cities and two states, across the mighty Murray River. Today that proud historic duality has made it a special place with heritage charm and modern sophistication in equal measure. Wodonga sits at the centre of the Melbourne– Sydney–Canberra triangle and at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, located on the majestic Murray River which forms the border between NSW and Victoria. The region is surrounded by rich agricultural valleys with nearby snow fields, world class wineries, historic towns and villages. It truly is a great place to live or visit.
The Albury-Wodonga region is also a major hub for transport, retail and employment, with a rich restaurant and cafe culture. Added to this, the broader region is renowned for its incredible range of fresh and gourmet food production, combined with the stunning wine regions of Rutherglen, King Valley and Milawa. There is also an exciting range of boutique breweries to tempt the tastebuds of each person attending your event. For additional information go to www.visitalburywodonga.com

Transport
Accommodation
One of Albury-Wodonga’s strengths as an event destination is its ease of access.
The Albury-Wodonga region offers accommodation to suit every taste and budget, from five-star luxury accommodation to cabins and back packer options. There are around 5500 beds in the region which provide a ‘critical mass’ for major events that come to the area.
Albury Airport was awarded Australia’s Regional Airport of the Year 2016 and is just 10 minutes from the Albury CBD and 15 minutes from Wodonga CBD. It is the third busiest airport in regional NSW. More than 250,000 passengers pass through the terminal each year and over 180 flights in and out of the city each week. Services to Sydney are provided by Qantaslink, Regional Express and Virgin Blue Airlines. Regional Express flies daily to Melbourne and Jetgo services direct routes to Brisbane and Gold Coast. There are also extensive coach and train services from Albury-Wodonga to Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as many other regional centres. Albury-Wodonga is strategically located about three hours north of Melbourne and six hours south of Sydney on the Hume Freeway. Canberra is also only 3.5 hours drive away.
