ASSEMBLE IN GOD’S NAME / CONGREGADOS EM NOME DO SENHOR PRELUDE / PRELÚDIO (As the prelude begins, you are invited to prepare your heart for entering the holy of holies. Please put all electronic devices away as we worship God together.) RESPONSIVE CALL TO WORSHIP / CONVITE À ADORAÇÃO (Exodus 15:2) L: The Lord is my strength and my song, the Lord has become my salvation; P: this is my God, whom I will praise, All: the God of my ancestors, whom I will exalt. *HYMN / HINO # 104 “Christ is Risen! Shout Hosanna!” *UNISON PRAYER OF PRAISE / ORAÇÃO DE LOUVOR EM UNÍSSONO You are our strength and our son, God of our salvation. Christ is risen, and what you have done, Mighty God, is marvelous in our eyes. You have answered what we did not even know we were asking and have become our salvation. You take what we have rejected in trying to build our own lives and made it the cornerstone. We are astonished by your wonderful works, astonished to praise and rejoicing, because Christ is risen, indeed. Amen. CALL TO CONFESSION / CHAMADA PARA CONFISSÃO DE FÉ UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION / ORAÇÃO DE CONFISSÃO EM UNÍSSONO We have not trusted that you will swallow up death forever, Sovereign God, and we have tried to wipe away our own uncleansing tears. You have called us to be your people in the midst of a world snared by death and full of weeping. We have been faithless by not telling the power and consolation of your gospel to those most sorely beset. Worse yet, we have become content to let the world be swallowed up in its sorrows so long as we are not immediately caught up in the misery. The reproach of our sin is upon us, and we are not able to cast it off. Yet we still believe in the forgiving grace of the One who came to save us from our sins and beg for that forgiveness in Jesus Christ. Amen. KYRIE ELEISON (# 572) Lord, have mercy upon us. Christ, have mercy upon us. Lord, have mercy upon us. DECLARATION OF FORGIVENESS / DECLARAÇÃO DO PERDÃO (1 Pet. 2:21, 24-25; Isa. 53:5-6) L: Christ suffered for you. He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness. P: By his wounds you have been healed. All: For you were going astray like sheep, but now you have returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls. *DOXOLOGY (#592) Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen. *All who are able, please stand. Congregational readings are printed in bold.

PROCLAIM GOD’S WORD / ANUNCIAR A PALAVRA DE DEUS UNISON PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION / ORAÇÃO PARA ILUMINAÇÃO Remind us that the gospel that has been preached to us, which we received, and in which we stand, is the gospel by which we are saved. Send us out into the world, convinced by your grace, to deliver as of first importance the good news of Christ according to the scriptures. Amen. Responsive Psalm of the Day / Salmo do Dia: Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24 Donna Fischer Give thanks to the LORD, who is good; whose love endures forever. Let Israel say: “God’s love endures forever.” The LORD is my strength and my defense; and has become my salvation. Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: The LORD’s right hand has done mighty things! The LORD’s right hand is lifted high; the LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!” I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done. The LORD has chastened me severely, but has not given me over to death. Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the LORD. This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter. I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation. The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. The LORD has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER THE INVITATION L: The peace of Christ be with you. P: And also with you. L: All those who believe in the resurrected Christ are welcome at the Lord’s Table. Come for all things are now ready. THE GREAT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND THE LORD’S PRAYER L: The Lord be with you. P: And also with you. L: Lift up your hearts. P: We lift them to the Lord. L: Let us give our thanks and praise. P: It is right that in our rejoicing we should praise you for your whole creation, O God, and thank you for your redemptive love in Jesus Christ. L: Holy God, Lord Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, with joy we give you thanks and praise. You have given us the promise of being like Christ, who was raised, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. Empower us by Christ’s resurrection from the dead to receive the new life which we celebrate in this feast, the anticipation of the heavenly banquet to come. Breathe into us anew the faith that Christ’s resurrection raises in the hearts of all who trust without seeing. Lead us with a vision of your power at work in all the world. How wonderful are your ways, almighty God. How marvelous is your name, O Holy One. You alone are God. Therefore with apostles and prophets, and that great cloud of witnesses who live for you beyond all time and space, we lift our hearts in joyful praise; All:

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

L: We praise you, most holy God, for sending your Beloved One, Jesus, to live among us, full of grace and truth. He made you known to all who received him. Sharing our joy and sorrow, he healed the sick and was a friend of sinners. Obeying you, he took up his cross and died that we might live. We praise you that he overcame death and is risen to rule the world. He is still the friend of sinners. We trust him to overcome every power that can hurt or divide us, and we believe that when he comes in glory we will celebrate victory with him. Therefore, in remembrance of your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we take this bread and this cup and give you praise and thanksgiving. Let us proclaim the mystery of faith: All:

Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

L: Gracious God, pour out your Holy Spirit upon us, that this bread and this cup may be for us the body and blood of our Lord, and that we, and all who share this feast, may be one with Christ and Christ with us. Fill us with eternal life, that with joy we may be Christ’s faithful people until we feast with him in glory.
