Jordan Company provided Construction Management at Risk services for Liebherr’s new U.S. Headquarters, a major expansion that added three new buildings and two support structures - totaling 233,124 square feet - adjacent to Liebherr USA Co.’s existing Newport News campus. The Pin Oak development includes a four-story, 60,000 square foot office building, an 80,000 square foot workshop, an 80,000 square foot distribution warehouse, two guard shacks, and a 7,500 square foot wash building. Located on a 30-acre greenfield site, the headquarters features high-end finishes and is structurally designed to accommodate future expansion. Combined with the existing 560,000 square foot campus, the new facilities strengthen Liebherr’s U.S. operations and support the company’s long-term growth strategy.

W. M. Jordan Company delivered Design-Build services for the Advanced Manufacturing Facility and Unmanned Systems Center of Excellence in Hampton, Virginia. The 20-acre campus includes a 150,000 square foot office/manufacturing building and a 22,000 square foot manufacturing structure designed for unmanned systems prototyping, production, and testing.
The main facility features digital manufacturing infrastructure, precision machining, finishing and welding areas, a two-story administrative office, and a high-bay steel structure with insulated metal panels, curtainwall glazing, and three overhead bridge cranes - 30-ton, 15-ton, and 50-ton. The 22,000 square foot pre-engineered building adds warehouse and production capacity. The facilities include compressed-air distribution, heavy machining equipment, and integrated blasting and coating systems, and they support precisely coordinated in-slab pits for owner-provided grit-reclaim equipment.

W. M. Jordan Company has delivered two major Design-Build industrial facilities for Acoustical Sheetmetal Company, adding more than 230,000 square feet of advanced manufacturing, storage, and operational space to their campus. These pre-engineered metal buildings significantly expand production capacity and support high-performance industrial workflows. The first 100,000 square foot facility includes production offices, large workshop areas, and two mezzanines for future build-out. Its main workshop features two 435-foot crane runways equipped with a 60-ton crane and two 30-ton cranes, with reinforced columns to support owner-provided jib cranes. The building also includes conditioned office areas, a cafeteria, restrooms, industrial lighting, exhaust systems, and full fire protection.
The second 134,000 square foot warehouse and manufacturing facility adds additional production offices, expansive workshop areas, and three high-bay crane runways for efficient storage, shipping, and large-scale fabrication. Built adjacent to the first building, it further expands Acoustical Sheetmetal’s state-of-the-art operational footprint.

The Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) is a collaborative research partnership between the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, and leading global manufacturers including Canon Virginia, Chromalloy, Newport News Shipbuilding, Rolls-Royce, Sandvik Coromant, Siemens, and Sulzer Metco. Together, they advance cutting-edge research in surface engineering and manufacturing systems.
CCAM’s 56,000 square foot facility includes computational labs, large-scale production labs, and open space for heavy equipment and advanced surface-coating technologies such as directed vapor deposition, thermal-spray systems, and thermal-conductivity testing. This unique collaboration accelerates the transition of innovative research into production-ready manufacturing solutions.

W. M. Jordan Company delivered construction services for the new Measurement Systems Laboratory at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. This state-of-the-art, 175,000 square foot, five-story facility is a key element of Langley’s 20-year revitalization plan and brings six Research and Engineering groups together under one roof.
The laboratory includes specialized spaces for laser, calibration, sensor, chemistry, electronics, prototyping, and clean-room work to advance next-generation measurement technologies supporting NASA’s missions in space exploration, science, and aeronautics. The facility also features classrooms, conference areas, data centers, and electromagnetic and radio-frequency-shielded rooms.
Having achieved LEED Gold certification, it stands as the largest facility on the NASA Langley campus.

W. M. Jordan Company provided comprehensive preconstruction planning and Construction Management services for a new state-of-the-art, 200,000 square foot industrial packaging warehouse and corporate headquarters for Sterling Contract Packaging.
Located on 29 acres within the Tyger River Industrial Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the facility enables Sterling to consolidate operations from three separate locations into one efficient, centralized hub - enhancing productivity, streamlining workflows, and improving service to customers.

The new Wilmington Food Bank is a 31,494 square foot facility designed to significantly enhance the organization’s capacity to serve the region. The building replaces a much smaller former location and includes conference rooms, administrative offices, a staff break room, two reception areas, restrooms, food storage areas equipped for both stand-up and sit-down lifts, a commercial kitchen, and a flexible community meeting space.
The expanded layout accommodates substantially more dry goods and provides 80% more freezer and cooler space, enabling increased distribution of fresh, healthy foods such as produce, meat, and dairy items.

The Service Center for Operations and Transportation (SCOT) is Newport News Public Schools’ 128,784 square foot central hub, consolidating child nutrition, transportation, and plant services on a 50.82-acre site. The Child Nutrition Services building includes a high-bay warehouse that prepares and stores meals for nearly 30,000 students and 5,000 employees. The transportation facility supports diesel and propane buses with fuel services, maintenance bays, parts storage, and a tire repair bay.
The Plant Services building houses trade workshops, offices, storage, a high-bay yard, and the district’s primary IT server room, which also supports city emergency operations. Developed through close stakeholder coordination, SCOT provides a modern, unified operations center that strengthens districtwide support and community services.

460 Commerce Center is a completed 350,000 square foot Class A industrial facility in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Formerly the Gwaltney Way Warehouse, the modernized building now serves as a high-performance hub for warehouse, distribution, light industrial, and manufacturing operations.
Constructed with durable tilt-up concrete panels and designed for long-term functionality and scalability, the facility includes 80 truck bays to support efficient, high-volume regional and national distribution. To enhance accuracy and project oversight, W. M. Jordan Company’s Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team used drone technology for aerial surveys and comprehensive photo documentation throughout construction.
