WMDDS Bulletin Wins ICD/AADEJ Award

The WMDDS Bulletin has received recognition from the International College of Dentists and American Association of Dental Editors and Journalists for the second year in a row. The Editorial Policies Committee highlighted personal stories and experiences from leaders, such as former ADA president, Dr. Gehani, former MDA presidents, Drs. Gingrich and Meraw, and Dean Laurie McCauley of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, during the COVID pandemic. The article highlighted their honest responses about how the COVID pandemic impacted their organizations, careers, and patient care. Thank you to our leaders for their willingness to participate in the interviews that led to the creation of this award-winning article.

Dr. Sinacola accepted the award on behalf of the committee at the virtual award ceremony in February 2022. The Bulletin was not the only component of the Michigan Dental Association to be recognized: Dr. Michelle Dzuirgot, Editor of the Macomb County publication, also accepted an award on behalf of their publication.
