ADA
n Give Kids a Smile, an ADA access-to-care program, turned 20 this year and has helped seven million kids to date!
n The ADA advocates for dentists to be included in any decision-making bodies on pandemic preparedness when developing legislation for best practices in response to future public health emergencies.
n The ADA urges the National Toxicology
Program to review the body of evidence for fluoride before making presumptive hazard statements in forthcoming research reports about fluoride and neurocognitive development. Current draft statements have inconsistent language and data that is not supported by scientific evidence, which could hurt fluoride initiative.
MDA
n This year’s Annual Session and House of Delegates will meet in person April 27-30 at the Suburban
Collection Showplace in Novi.
n Candidates for elected positions have been vetted and candidate information can be found on the
MDA website.
n If you would like to run for an office, trustee, or
ADA delegate position, you can self-nominate on the House of Delegate floor on Thursday, April 28th.
Those interested in self-nomination should contact Michele Nichols-Cruz prior to the event for more info.
