What’s New in West Michigan: County Updates

Kent County

Len Bartoszewicz, DDS Vice President Kent County Dental Society Grand Rapids

The Kent County Dental Society 2022-23 year is off and running! The Board of KCDS consists of: Dr. Rachel Sinacola, President; Dr. Len Bartoszewicz, Vice President; Dr. Brad Robinson, Secretary; and Dr. Taryn Weil, Treasurer.

The KCDS plans to offer three continuing education seminars: one each in November 2022, January 2023, and March 2023. Our goal is to host two dinner programs (yes, in person!) for the November and March meetings and then host the January meeting online via Zoom. The officers met in June and are finalizing the plans for the meetings and lining up the speakers, so stay tuned as you will be receiving more information at the end of the summer or early fall. Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you in the fall.

Ottawa County

Tom Anderson, DDS WMDDS Ottawa County Representative, Holland

The Holland/Zeeland Dental Society will kick-off 2022/23 in September/October with a dinner with spouses. We will continue with meetings in November, January, February, and March. I hope to have CE for each meeting and also hope to have the dinners sponsored. Stay tuned. The Big Rapids area study club meets on the third Tuesday of each month. We are a small, close-knit group, working to provide care to what has become a severely underserved area of Michigan.
