SGA passes funding bill for campus organizations

WKU Student Government Association held its weekly meeting on Thursday and discussed funding for student organizations.

Senators elected to pass Bill 10-25-F, which grants funding for a multitude of on-campus organizations for the 2025-2026 school year. Each organization that applied was graded and will receive funding based on its score. Organizations included clubs and Greek organizations.

Organizations were graded based on timeliness of submitting the application, allocation quality and financial dependence.

Students filed into DSU 2084 on Wednesday to learn about the experiences, hardships and joyful moments of being a drag performer.

Drag Queens Rita Room, Queen Venus Knight, Goregina George, Zoe Zahara and Chanel Eclipse visited the members of the Queer Student Union to answer questions and discuss their experiences in the profession.

Sky Arts Film Festival to return to Capitol Theater

The Sky Arts Film Festival will return for its fourth year at the Capitol Theater this weekend, featuring local and national films, film trailers and classes led by film professionals.

The festival will also feature a showing of the 2005 award-winning film “Loggerheads” by award-winning screenwriter and director Tim Kirkman.

WKU Soccer scores goal in final 10 seconds to draw UTEP

Down 1-0 with 10 seconds left, sophomore midfielder Alyvia Wells connected with a long ball by freshman Lauren Alexander to secure WKU soccer a 1-1 tie on Thursday night.

“We keep finding ways to get results. It was great to see us equalize late and salvage a point out of this game,” Head Coach Jason Neidell said.

WKU Volleyball returns home to host Sam Houston

WKU volleyball returns to Diddle Arena this weekend to take on the Sam Houston Bearkats.

and remain undefeated in conference play.

Sophomore Alivia Skidmore led WKU with 24 kills through the weekend. Freshman Sonja Laaksonen secured a career high in kills with 10 in game two.
