Road Warriors: WKU Football outlasts Delaware for third straight win

The Hilltoppers made noise in the henhouse with a secondhalf comeback fueled by two crucial third-quarter turnovers Friday night to beat the Delaware Blue Hens 27-24.

Despite Delaware leading 17-10 going into halftime, the Hilltoppers rallied, outscoring the Blue Hens 17-7 after intermission. Coming into the night, the Hilltoppers had outscored opponents 55-9, the second-highest point differential by any FBS team in 2025.

WKU Volleyball swept Missouri State on its first road trip of the CUSA season.

The wins extended the Hilltoppers to 96 straight CUSA regular-season wins and put head coach Travis Hudson just six wins away from 800 in his career.

Sophomore outside hitting duo Alivia Skidmore and Faith Young dominated the court through both games. Skidmore had 34 kills through the weekend and Young had 24.

Howard beats Bearkats with last-second goal

With just 10 seconds left in regulation, freshman midfielder Mackenzie Howard broke a scoreless deadlock, scoring her first collegiate goal to give WKU Soccer a late win over Sam Houston on Sunday afternoon.

Howard’s goal was set up by a pair of freshmen. Mekenna Egan delivered a cross to defender Lauren Alexander, who sent the ball across the box to Howard for an easy finish that sealed the Hilltoppers’ victory.

The Literary Radar: Banned Book Week

Welcome back, literary besties!

Banned Books Week will be held next week from Oct. 5-11, and this year’s theme is “Censorship Is So 1984–Read for Your Rights.” I find this year’s theme very on-brand because we’re living in a timeline of contradictory viewpoints on censorship.
