The Program
The Gleeson College Football Education Beyond Excellence Program (FEBE) began in 2005, this program gave students the opportunity to study ‘World Football’ as a subject. At the commencement of this program Gleeson College was the first Catholic High School in Adelaide to offer this unique opportunity.
The past few years has seen a name change to ‘World Football Specialist Program’. This is currently offered to Year 7, Year 8, Year 9 and Stage 1 students all with an extension program offered to students who perform beyond excellence.
Gleeson College has a range of staff with expertise in World Football to educate students in skill acquisition, training components as well as a theoretical aspect (life beyond the pitch). Currently students have professional coaching from curriculum specialist coach Marcos Flores.
