DOUBLETREE

TUCSON, ARIZONA

Nestled between Tucson’s historic Barrio Viejo and its evolving downtown core, this hotel bridges past and present with a design rooted in heritage, comfort, and desert elegance.

Within Studio infused the interiors with warm woods, gem-toned accents, and subtle nods to the Southern Pacific Railroad and 1960s architecture. Vertical and horizontal lines echo Tucson’s rain and saguaro ribs, guiding guests from urban nostalgia to desert retreat.

A timeless palette and curated details offer a true sense of place—celebrating what was lost, and what still blooms.

DOUBLETREE BY

TUCSON, ARIZONA

The interior design supports a layered hospitality experience rooted in Tucson’s historic Barrio Viejo. Across six stories and 170 guest rooms, including private and executive suites, material selections and furnishings balance comfort, durability, and a strong sense of place.

Public spaces were designed to transition easily between retreat and gathering. An elevated second-floor pool and fitness center create a quiet escape above the city, while flexible meeting and event areas support a range of guest needs connected to the adjacent convention center.

Food and beverage interiors were conceived as distinct yet cohesive environments. El Mezquite Restaurant, Café Otero, Sol De Oro Pool Bar, and Bar Del Pueblo each offer a unique atmosphere within a unified design language.

At the DoubleTree by Hilton Tucson, the interiors are intentional, functional, and grounded in place.

THE BARN

TANQUE VERDE GUEST RANCH

TUCSON, ARIZONA

Located at the historic Tanque Verde Guest Ranch, The Barn is a 12,400 square foot venue set within 640 acres at the edge of Saguaro National Park East. The interior design blends the rugged character of the Rincon Mountains with a contemporary approach suited for large gatherings.

Floor-to-ceiling windows frame expansive desert views, while the grand dining space and adjacent lawn support seamless indoor and outdoor events. Designed to accommodate up to 350 guests, The Barn balances scale, flexibility, and a strong connection to place.

FOX THEATRE

TUCSON, ARIZONA [ON THE BOARDS]

As the Fox Theatre approaches its centennial, Within Studio joins the transformation of this beloved landmark into a 20,000-square-foot cultural campus.

Slated for completion in 2030, the expansion will introduce a new lobby, event space, performing arts center, and rooftop bar; while preserving the soul of the historic Fox.

Designed to deepen artistic offerings, elevate accessibility, and enrich Tucson’s cultural landscape, this next chapter honors the past while building a vibrant future.

LO SCALO

HILTON PHOENIX

PHOENIX, ARIZONA [ON THE BOARDS]

Named for the Italian word for “layover,” Lo Scalo invites guests to pause, savor, and reconnect.

Within Studio reimagined this airportadjacent destination as a biophilic retreat, where post-monsoon desert tones meet the rustic charm of southern Italy.

From custom branded wallcoverings to living greenery, the space flows like a home: warm woods, open kitchens, and sun-washed patios echo the rhythm of slow meals and long conversations.

Industrial curves and artisanal textures honor both tradition and transit. Your layover just got a lot more interesting.

THE ROADRUNNER GRILL

TUCSON, ARIZONA

Perched in the Catalina Foothills, the 3,000 square foot Roadrunner Grill was reimagined by Within Studio as a vibrant oasis for SaddleBrooke’s active adult community.

Inspired by bright desert mornings and citrus-infused palettes, the design celebrates rejuvenation, connection, and fresh ingredients. Natural light, warm woods, and pops of green create a welcoming flow from dining room to pizza bar, where a wood-fired oven anchors the space in comfort and craft.

Horizontal lines and soft curves echo the rhythm of the landscape, while thoughtful branding and biophilic touches turn every meal into a moment of retreat.

CHEESECAKE BISTRO

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA

Within Studio reimagined this iconic Baton Rouge destination, honoring Al Copeland’s bold legacy with a fresh, soulful twist. Every space from the wine tasting room to the private dining and bar, was redesigned to reflect the vibrant spirit of Cajun-Creole cuisine and the warmth of Southern hospitality. Rich textures, playful elegance, and biophilic touches create a modern bistro experience where “Love is our secret ingredient” isn’t just a tagline. It’s the atmosphere.

RA SUSHI

TUCSON, ARIZONA

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNA CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

The interior design for RA Sushi was conceived as a scalable brand experience from its first location in Scottsdale. The concept was intentionally developed to expand, ultimately supporting 16 restaurants nationwide.

Bold graphic elements, exposed structure, and signature red globe lighting create an energetic, recognizable atmosphere across markets. Interior and exterior dining areas flow together, encouraging movement, visibility, and social interaction.

Within Studio’s design became the blueprint for a cohesive coast-to-coast culinary identity built on consistency, flexibility, and strong brand presence.

FROST GELATO SHOPPE

TUCSON, ARIZONA

Frost began with a dream of Italian gelato and a single request: make it feel cold. We translated that vision into an immersive, icy atmosphere, crisp, luminous, and unforgettable. Our design became the signature experience now replicated across 10 U.S. shops, with 9 more on the global horizon.

D2 DISPENSARY

TUCSON, ARIZONA

Within Studio joined a team that created Arizona’s first drive-thru dispensary, designing a dark, immersive environment that redefines cannabis retail.

High-tech and cannabis-forward, D2 blends moody elegance with biophilic flow, lush greens, ambient lighting, and curated textures guide guests through an award-winning experience.

From the lobby to the drive-thru, every detail invites ritual, calm, and elevated access. This is not your typical dispensary. It’s a destination.
