T

he recently concluded Africa Climate Summit, marked a significant milestone in the global fight against climate change. While it brought together leaders, policymakers, and experts from across the continent to discuss pressing climate-related challenges and chart a path toward a sustainable future, it also heralded the need to urgently address the challenges raised, as climate change is not a distant threat but an immediate crisis affecting African nations disproportionately. The entire continent is being affected by rising temperatures, droughts, and extreme weather events are already wreaking havoc on communities, ecosystems, and economies. What this spells out is the need for governments, corporates and civil society groups and the continent’s citizens at large to actively engage and collaborate on a subject that impacts us all. This issue is rich in features that speak to several of the topics covered by the Africa Climate Summit, including adaption and resilience, renewable energy transition, the role of tourism in fostering sustainability, water management, particularly in mining, reducing carbon footprints and naturally, how all these align with the role corporates can play in ensuring responsible practices. We thank you for staying the course with us and do hope the stories shared not only inform you with valuable insights, but also become your personal call to action to get involved in making a difference where you are! Yours truly,
