BIG FISH: A RECAP

by Kirstin Neuwirth

Wisco’s Big Fish musical that performed from March 3 to March 5 was a huge hit. The audience was swept away in the colorful story of Edward Bloom as he shared his tall tales. Congratulations to all the actors who worked so long and hard for such an amazing performance. The dancing and singing astounded viewers, filling their eyes and ears with laughter, sorrow, and hope. The music from the live pit orchestra surrounded the audience with lovely music, making the experience even more magical. One of the talented musicians, Emily Wendorf, who was in the pit orchestra said, “Being able to create the magic by playing in the pit orchestra is a great blessing because it allows me to use my God given abilities and work with people that have talents different from my own ”

They enjoyed the time spent working on the musical. Thea Stewartson who played Sandra Bloom in the musical says, “The musical was such an amazing opportunity to not only grow in my skills as a musician and performer, but it also was an awesome way to make a lot of new friends. I am so thankful and appreciative to have been able to be a part of such a fun production.” If you are ever looking for a great opportunity to get involved at WLHS, being a part of the school play or musical is an awesome opportunity We applaud your work and can’t wait to see what is next!
