Teen Group Article 2
(continued from page 10)
This presentation was very informative and eye opening for us because we learned first hand how an idea and partnerships can lead to making a powerful difference in the lives of others. It also demonstrated that although teenagers are young, we can have a voice and make meaningful change in many different ways. We just need to be willing to use our voice - even when we think others might not value it because it will still reach a crowd and can make a difference. No matter how young or old you are, you can always help serve, solve a problem, and give back to others. This is a great way to impact others and a community. It does not matter what your background is because we all have our own stories, and just sharing that with others can make an impact. Many of us are very fortunate, and we often take that for granted. As followers of Jesus, we are called to do what we can to help those around us. Even the smallest things can go a long way. Many shy away from service opportunities because they do not think they can make an impact. Anyone can do something to make a difference, but few are courageous enough to stand and dig in and do the work. This experience showed us how we can help others, and that anyone is capable, especially youth voices. At the end of the day we are all precious and loved by God, no matter what our appearance or our background is, so we need to do what is right and stand up to make a difference.
