This May, a groundbreaking ceremony officially marked the beginning of construction on the outdoor complex that will serve Wisco students, athletes, musicians, and grade schoolers who are part of the Jr. Vikings program.

Building on the Legacy is a $6.5M capital campaign to make upgrades to our outdoor athletic facilities. Through this campaign, WLHS will put turf on the main and multi-purpose fields, pour a new track, add a digital scoreboard, upgrade lighting, increase parking, and more!

Currently, there is still $1M that needs to be raised in order to complete the project by early fall. Visit

Building on the Legacy campaign committee “The Christian education that we give our students, doesn’t end in the classroom. It continues onto the track, onto the football field, and the soccer field. Our coaches understand that winning and loosing isn’t the ultimate goal. It’s the Christian development of the souls of the students they lead.” — Mr. Jeff Sitz (‘74)

“Building on the Legacy is founded on three things: building successful athletes, providing programs that create life-long friendships, and allowing our students to leave with what they need for their futures — and that’s Jesus.” — Jeff Guenther (‘01), Campaign Chair
