For the past 18 months, senior Jordan Glenn (’22) has been dealing with a significant health challenge. In January 2021, Glenn collapsed during a boys’ varsity basketball game due to cardiac arrest. He was brought back to life by nurses who ran onto the court to save him.
At the time, Glenn said, “It felt like everybody was praying for me and that meant a lot to me. It brought joy to my heart and my mother’s heart. Ever since,
I’ve become closer to God and have been praying. It really showed me that he’s here for us.”
After months of evaluation, monitoring, and the implantation of a defibrillator, Glenn received clearance from his doctors and was able to participate in the 2021-22 season. Playing guard for the Vikings, Glenn helped lead the Vikings to the State sectionals and a 25-3 record. He averaged 12.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game.
“Basically, it was a blessing that I could still play,” says Glenn. “God has a plan for everyone and we just need to be patient.”
Glenn’s spirit, determination, courage, and trust in God has been recognized with numerous awards. • Milwaukee Bucks’ Perseverance Award • Journal Sentinel Courage Award • WIAA Spirit of Sport Award • Wisconsin Hall of Fame High School Award
Glenn is currently finalizing his college plans.

Jordan Glenn was one of seven to receive the 2021 Perseverance Award. Perseverance Awards are given to senior student athletes who have overcome adversity (physical, emotional, personal) to compete and/or excel in interscholastic sports.

Jordan Glenn was selected as the 2022 Wisconsin recipient of the Spirit of Sport Award presented by the WIAA, the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and the National Federation of State High School Associations.
