At the heart of what sets WLHS apart is its foundation in God’s Word. It’s a foundation that guides teachers, staff, coaches, and administrators, and establishes the school’s culture.
Wisco is blessed with a diverse student body, and faith unifies the WLHS family and roots young men and women in core beliefs that don’t change— even if the world is embracing new cultural norms.
God’s unfailing word surrounds students each day and guides them through life. It’s a message that’s delivered during chapel, in classrooms, on the field, and through activities.
“WLHS helps our students grow in their spiritual identity and become confident knowing they are children of God,” says Mr. Brad Wetzel (’98), director of admissions. “Following the light of Jesus, they strive to make God-pleasing choices that lead to the ultimate ‘success’ of being with other believers in heaven one day.”

To help parents with driving to and from school, WLHS offers the GoKid carpool app.
Parents can connect with other families who are nearby to set up and manage carpools. The app integrates with calendars and sends helpful pick up or drop off reminders.
This school year, WLHS welcomed more than 900 young men and women to its campus.
When students walk through the doors, they become part of the Wisco family and are encouraged to get involved right away by joining a team, group, or club so they can meet others and begin to establish friendships.

“We’ve strategically added classes to enhance our offerings and help students as they pursue a career pathway,” says Grey Davis, director of student services. “In addition, in the past year, we’ve doubled the number of seniors who are taking advantage of a youth apprenticeship or the dual enrollment academy.”
At WLHS, a career pathway is a multi-year program of academic and technical study that prepares students for a full range of post-secondary options within a particular area. The pathway links student learning to the knowledge and skills needed for future education and employment.
