Wisconsin Lutheran College students who are awarded donor-funded scholarships annually thank their scholarship donors. Below you’ll find information about three such students, including excerpts from their thank-you notes. Gifts to scholarships make a big impact in the lives of WLC students. We thank all those who generously donate to student scholarships each year.
ELIJAH STRUTZ ’25
Verona, Wisconsin Finance Major
Despite a challenging course load and participating in both cross country and track and field for the Warriors, our unchanging, loving God has been there for me every step of the way. The scholarship I receive has a big impact on me, and I’m incredibly thankful to receive it. The award not only helps me today, but also sets me up for my future after college. I have loved WLC more and more as I spend time in class with peers and professors, with great friends, and with teammates. I am majoring in finance with an accounting minor to prepare me for a job as a financial analyst. Over the summer I completed an internship with Northwestern Mutual as a financial representative. I am grateful for my education at WLC and for your generous support.
TREVION GREEN ’24
Miami, Florida Sports Management Major
I am writing to pass along my heartfelt gratitude for the tremendous support that my scholarship has provided me with. As I prepare to graduate next May, I cannot help but reflect on the incredible journey that brought me to this point. Your generosity has played a pivotal role in my academic and personal development, and I want to express how deeply thankful I am for the opportunities that my scholarship has given me. As a first-generation college student, my journey through higher education has been marked with challenges and uncertainties. Your support has not only relieved my financial burden, but has also instilled in me a sense of confidence and determination to succeed. I am proud to say that I have not only excelled academically but have also been able to fulfill my passion for playing football throughout my time at WLC.
TRICIA BIDINGER ’25
Cascade, Wisconsin Nursing Major
Thank you so much for your generous gift. Working a full-time job during the summer doesn’t come close to covering the cost of college for me. Without your generosity, it would be much harder to attend Wisconsin Lutheran College. With support from you I am able to pay more attention to my studies. God has always provided for me and I know He is using you to do that. WLC has helped me find ways to spend time with Jesus, and I’ve made good Christian friends who help me keep God at the center of my life. I’m part of the Christian Leadership Certificate Program, and I am the Student Organizational Council president on Student Senate. I also volunteer and help organize many activities on campus. Outside of class I love to be outside, go hiking, and dabble in art when I have the time.
