Festival of Tables was better than ever!
By Kathy Olivarez Red Hat ladies from all over the Rio Grande Valley gathered for the first time in two years at Alamo Country Club on February 25 to view the elegant tables set by chapters from all over the Valley and to meet and greet old friends. A total of 25 tables with different themes were set for the ladies to enjoy. For an hour before lunch was served ladies browsed the tables to see which ones were their favorites. One of the favorite tables were presented by Maureen Keppy and Dennis Ziaja. Though the theme was “Oriental,” Japan was empha-
WOW! It has been crazy the last two weeks. I have enjoyed the busy-ness – getting out there and doing. Last week I was able to attend Alamo Rose’s presentation of quilts to their resident veterans. This was such a beautiful ceremony with a presentation of colors and the military flags. It even included some history about the Star-Spangled Banner. And of course, there was a See RAMBLINGS pg. 18

Tony Butler and other courses geared for improvements
The past couple of years have been difficult for many businesses. While not knowing if they were going to be opened or closed, it gave directors of golf, owners, golf pros and those who make decisions an opportunity to make some tweaks to their courses – minor to major.
