Welcome to the Winter Ball! we’re so excited to welcome you on Monday evening to Caelestia. We hope it’s the first social of many you spend here at the union.
we’ve got a huge range of food, drink, and activities, from some of Cambridge’s most popular student bands to the famous Jacks Gelato, on offer for your enjoyment and there’s more information about this later in the programme. First, here is some important information before your visit:

The event will run from 8 pm- 3 am on Monday 2nd December.

How to find us:
the Union is located at 9a bridge street, postcode cb2 1rh. The entrance to the ball will be the round church entrance and the queue will begin on bridge street.
Entry to the event:
we will be letting people into the event from 8pm-9:30pm, although we recommend you arrive as close to 8pm as possible to make sure you make the most of what the ball has to offer! please turn up with a valid 18+ ID.
dress code: black tie/cocktail attire. We won’t be denying entry on the basis of dress!

Venues Venues
The orator bar:
In our orator bar, we’ve got a stage where we’ll be featuring a live performance from some of Cambridge’s most popular student bands. The bar will be open from both sides, where a special drinks menu for the event will be available including cocktails, mixers, shots and much more. Some festive classics will also be served.
The chamber:
this year, the chamber will feature a performance from a Rhianna Tribute, Drag Time, Pole Dancers and much more! There will be an additional bar in the chamber.

The library:
For all those silent disco lovers, the library will be home to the silent disco for the entire evening, with three channels to suit everyone’s music taste.
The Fairfax Rhodes Room:
For one night only our historic Fairfax Rhodes Room will be transformed into a glamourous casino!
The Snooker Room:
The northern lights are coming to the Union! In the snooker room, guests will be able to experience a UV ball pit which gives the impression of being immersed in the full wonders of the northern lights.
The Driveway:
The driveway will be home to our food vendors. From crepes to paella. We’re sure there will be something for everyone
