Philip Govedare earned his BFA from San Francisco Art Institute and his MFA from Tyler School of Art/Temple University in Philadelphia. He has exhibited widely in the US and in Europe and his awards include an individual artist fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award in painting, and a Fellowship
