Devin Whitelow was named the 2021-22 Winona State a Player to Watch for the Warriors by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in preseason voting. Winona State was selected to finished sixth in the South Division of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, and picked for 11th overall in the league. Whitelow has started 90 of the 99 games played in his career and boasts an assist-to-turnover ratio of 4.53. In 2018-19, the senior from Peoria, Ill. led all NCAA levels in Assist-to-Turnover ratio at 5.96. Luke Martens saw action in every Winona State game last year and has over 70 career games under his belt. Last season, Martens had 22 contents in which he logged 30 minutes or more. Nick Klug saw action in all 13 WSU contests last season, one of four Warriors to earn that distinction. Connor Dillon, a freshman from Peoria Notre Dame High School, turned some heads with several hot hand shooting outing last season, including a seasonbest 22 points in a win over Upper Iowa. Alec Rosner saw the injury bug impact his 2020-21 season, but the Appleton, Wis. product was a key contributor in the 2019-20 Warrior season in which he played in every contest, with a season-high 18 points against Viterbo on 11/26. Rosner had 22 games in which he logged 30 minutes or more.
Last season, Warrior fans got their first look at Owen King at the collegiate level, as the local standout from nearby Caledonia, Minn. featured prominently in the Winona State lineup. King honed his craft in two seasons at South Dakota State, where he appeared in 40 games over a two-year span for the NCAA Division I program. Last winter, his first season at Winona State, King appeared in all 13 WSU contests, racking up 372 minutes and averaging 8.9 points per game while hauling in 40 boards, notching 27 assists and 13 steals.

Pittsburg State Notables:
Pitt State enters its fifth season under head coach Kim Anderson. The Gorillas posted a 10-12 overall record during the 2020-21 season. Ten of the 17 players on Pittsburg State are transfers; four played at NCAA Division I programs and four others are from NJCAA programs. The Gorillas return six players who started eight or more games in 2020-21: graduate forward Bobby Arthur-Williams Jr. (12.0 ppg), junior guard Quentin Hardrict Jr. (11.8 ppg), graduate guard Ryan Pippins (8.1 ppg), graduate forward Antonio Givens II (8.1 ppg), senior forward Zach Burch (6.8 ppg) and second-year freshman guard R.J. Forney (3.9 ppg). Additionally, graduate guard Dejon Waters Jr. returns after using a medical redshirt season in 2020-21. Waters averaged 8.9 points while starting 22 games in 2019-20 In addition to the veteran players, a trio of newcomers – junior guard Tyler Hawkins, graduate guard Iziah James and sophomore guard Magic Reliford – are expected to make immediate impacts to the squad. Arthur-Williams transferred to Pitt State from NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He redshirted at MKE in 2019-20, after averaging 3.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game as a junior in 2018-19. Givens (6-9, 260) averaged 8.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in 2019-20, shooting 53.6 percent from the field (89166). The Columbus, Ohio, native transferred to Pitt State from NCAA Division I Kent State University where he redshirted in 2018-19. Since 2018, Henderson State has the best winning percentage (65.4%) of any program in the state of Arkansas at any level of competition. Henderson finished 11-9 in the abbreviated 2020-21 season and came within seconds of playing for a second-straight conference crown. The Reddies fell in overtime to eventual league champion UAM in the GAC Tournament semifinals. Eight of HSU's nine losses came to Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas, who both reached the GAC Tournament title game.
Several key pieces return for HSU, including All-GAC junior guard Malik Riddle, senior guard Quawn Marshall, junior guard Damian Dear, junior forward Yuri Swinford and senior guard Xavier Davenport.
The Reddies also added talented transfers Ryan Boyce (Georgia State) and Franck Kamgain (UMKC), as well as junior college newcomers Alvin Miles (Eastern Oklahoma) and Andre Washington (Murray State College).
