A Sensual Massage - Bliss | WINKS London

A sensual massage performed by a professional – or your partner in the intimacy of your home, such as the bedroom – can be a truly wonderful experience. Everybody enjoys being touched, having someone make them feel special and cherished.

When this is done at home between two loving partners it may set the scene for some romantic activity too, whereas a sensual massage by a trained, experienced masseur/masseuse is just that: a lovely sensual experience that leaves you feeling great afterwards.

A sensual massage without a good massage oil is just not the same as relaxing under someone’s hands when they want to spoil you. Of course, many sports and chiropractic massages are done without oil, but when the objective is sensual pleasure, then oil becomes important. That is why good massage therapists pay attention to this aspect and the oil(s) they choose.

Sensual massages, such as tantric massages, for example, are best carried out when the masseur/masseuse applies a good massage oil liberally, one that they buy from registered suppliers that obtain these from manufacturers that put in a lot of time and effort to come up with oils that speak to the senses, help soften the skin and allow the client to enjoy the aroma.

It is important for the massage parlour, or the private masseur/masseuse, to make sure they use good quality oils such as, say, those that are manufactured from organic ingredients that are pure. Some clients will ask about the oils you use, and if for some reason these oils are considered sub-standard, the client may not be keen to return. You want to use a soothing oil, an oil that will not leave the skin irritable, but feeling pampered instead. In addition to the sensual experience offered by a good pair of hands, oil – good massage oil – can be very good for the skin.

Massage parlours and masseuses that work privately, will do well when they choose, for example, a massage oil from a good vegetable carrier oil. “Carrier” in this instance refers to the fact that these oils ‘carry’ certain tinctures or even small portions of medicinal oils in them, all meant to benefit the skin of the person receiving the massage.

There are so many natural oils that can be used by the masseur/masseuse. Some of these oils will have strong concentrations of, say, one ingredient, with some other ingredients added, while another may be produced with a different natural ingredient to make up the bulk of what the oil contains. When looking around, there are so many options.

Avocado massage oil is heavier than many others and is good for very dry skin and is often mixed with another oil. It is one of those that is absorbed into the skin fast. Grapeseed oil is lighter and often used as the base oil in tantric massages and is favoured for offering regenerative qualities, in addition to containing antioxidants. These are mere examples. There are many more, for instance jojoba, almond, coconut, CBD oils and many others.

Most of these essential oils are infused with lovely fruity or floral aromas, which helps to enhance the experience for the client. Everybody loves pleasant smells around them, whether they prefer a citrussy aroma, or one that reminds them of wildflowers such as lavender. There are many choices.

A lot depends on the purpose of the massage. Is it a massage that requires the oil to penetrate deeply into the skin? Then essential oils such as, say, lavender, peppermint lemon and bergamot may be best, whereas for a truer sensual experience you may be looking at a light – not heavy - pure oil. There will always be options.

Whatever oil one chooses, it cannot be denied that a lovely oil in the warm, soothing hands of an experienced person delivers results. That is why good massage parlours and masseurs/masseuses choose their oils with care. Phone
