Emergency First Aid – CPR C
This 8-hour Emergency First Aid course will cover the skills needed to recognize and respond to potential and immediate dangers and safely approach any emergency. Learn how to respond to cardiovascular emergencies for children & adults (CPR Level C) with Automated External Defibrillation (AED) training. Other topics that will be covered include choking, breathing and bleeding emergencies and how to treat for shock.

Oliver (Sandy) Mountain Hike
Park/meet on Spartan Street next to OES soccer field. We will walk to the trail head from there and hike up past rock oven to the summit at the radio tower where we will stop for lunch and a rest. This hike is steep in places with rocky and sandy terrain, a 400m elevation change and incredible views. Proper footwear and water are a must, and don’t forget to bring lunch to enjoy at the top. Pre-registration is required. All children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult. 6 and up

Small Steps for Big Changes is an evidence –based lifestyle program that can help people make lasting lifestyle changes to lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Eligible participants learn how to incorporate physical activity into their daily routine, and to make sustainable dietary changes.
Are you inactive? Overweight? Do you have high blood pressure? Do you have a parent or sibling with type 2 diabetes? If so, you could be at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and be eligible to take part in a FREE lifestyle change program! Through one on one appointments, you will learn how to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine.
