ABOUT PRISCILLA BARNETT

ABOUT PRISCILLA BARNETT

Priscilla was born on Barbados, in the West Indies.

At fifteen, she moved to New York where she later attended Parsons School of Design and the New York School of Social Research. After graduating with a Bachelors in Fine Arts, she obtained her teaching credentials. She went on to teach children of different grades in New York, Alaska, and Washington; culminating over 25 years of experience.

Her daughter lives with an illness called Sarcoidosis. It is an inflammatory disease that can affect ANY organ in the body, causing debilitating symptoms. The cause remains unknown, and There is NO Cure. Priscilla says that living with this illness has taught her the meaning of strength and determination...to passionately create art, despite the odds.

Priscilla currently lives in Spokane, Washington. Her work includes media such as acrylics, oils, pastels, embroidery, handmade paper and plaster.

Priscilla’s art is deep with emotion and illusions that evoke the imagination and has been shown in New York, Alaska, and Washington.
