Building partnerships with public health nurses and social service agency workers helps us identify new mothers in need and to deliver the baskets. This ensures strong connections are made with new mothers, and both they and their babies receive follow-up support.

If you are waiting for a basket, please be patient. Please understand that multiple phone calls take more time process, and gives us less time to work on your request. Please leave one message and we will answer them in the order received.

Remember we are run by volunteers.

We will get your items to you in the order of babies due dates or birth dates. If for some reason your baby comes early, contact us, and we will bring items to the hospital, depending on your most urgent needs.

Baskets for Babies Moms helping moms...

A 501(c)3 non-profit located in the Spokane area “Being able to provide their baby with a bassinet and basic necessities increases the self-esteem of new mothers in need and makes for happier, more confident moms.�

We are a ministry program that provides basic baby supplies and clothing. Our goal is to provide new parents, who cannot afford to do so, due to the loss of a job, illness, or other life struggle, living in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene areas, regardless of race or religion.

Some of these basic needs include: bed for their baby clothing blankets diapers wipes bottles stroller, bouncer, or swing other essential needs ... a starter pack to relived some of the pressures they may going through we also offer, an ear to listen to those needs and a shoulder when they need somewhere to lean...

We are affiliated with NISSA (NW Infant Survival and SIDS Alliance) in Seattle, Cribs for Kids, and other SIDS organizations. We promote Safe Sleep to all of our families.

These partnerships ensure that strong connections are made with new mothers and that they and their babies receive followup support.

To date we have helped 400+ moms (and dads), and want to do so much more!

Throughout the year we collect donations from people in the community; families, friends, and leftovers from yard sales. We are blessed to received many donations from businesses such as Other Mothers South Hill, and Bugaboos in the Spokane Valley.

100% of all cash donations go to Basket for Babies operational expenses such as; rent, utilities, gasoline, filing fees, diapers, wipes, and more.

Our Baby Baskets give children born into hard times, the chance for healthy development that every child deserves.

We try to provide the BASIC NEEDS of those struggling moms; * a safe bed for their baby * clothing * blankets * diapers * wipes * bottles * stroller, bouncer, or swing * other basic needs ...A starter pack to relieve some of the pressures they may be going through.

We also offer an ear to those needs and a should when they need somewhere to lean...

We also offer *Emergency diapers/formula *Children’s clothing bank up to size 14 * Maternity clothing bank *NICU Care packages through “Erin’s Mercy” *”Heaven’s Children” Grief support group

Donations

The Internal Revenue Service has classified Baskets for Babies as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Gifts to this organization qualify for a tax deduction as a charitable contribution to the extent permitted by law.

Erin’s Mercy

is a NICU care package program, supported by Baskets for Babies, Serving the Spokane area hospitals.

Their mission is to bring comfort to families in the NICU, at local hospitals, by giving them a little bit of hope one care package at a time.
