Monemvasía, Greece

xplore the breadth of the Aegean Sea, from the azure tip of Crete to the soaring spires of Istanbul, in one comprehensive nine-day voyage. The monuments of Ephesus and Rhodes are

calling, and Santorini’s blue-and-white charms are on your list of “must sees.” Yet it may be the personal moments on board that are the most memorable.

Day 1 • Athens, Greece

180° from ordinary® Like your own private yacht. The all suite Star Pride is like being on your own private yacht, taking you to places like tiny Monemvasía where big ships can’t go, and treating you to experiences like diving off the yacht’s private Watersports Platform that you won’t get anywhere else. Whether you’re dining on deck under the stars or making yourself at home on the Bridge, magical moments are everywhere.

Here, in the city that cradled western civilization, walk in footsteps that echo with the history of 2,500 years. The very names are legends. The Acropolis, high above the city, facing the brilliant blue waters of the Aegean. The Parthenon, standing majestically in honor of Athena, the city’s patron. Pull yourself back into the present in Athens’ charming shops and coffee houses.

Day 2 • Monemvasía, Greece This Gibraltar-like town tied to the mainland by a single thread of causeway holds treasures that are old even by Mediterranean standards, with town walls and several churches dating to the 12th century. Climb to the upper town for an up-close look at the castle and Agia Sophia, a Byzantine church. Wander the lanes of the lower town lined with Venetian mansions, many of which have been lovingly restored. Savor the sun on a smooth pebble beach.

Day 3 • Chania, Crete, Greece Hints of Florence, Venice, and Istanbul are everywhere in Chania, beginning with the old Venetian harbor. Go ashore and explore the harbor from the Arabian Lighthouse to the Kioutsouk Hassan Mosque. The architecture is never boring, with Turkish domes interspersed with intricate wrought iron balconies. Find the Venetian Donkey Steps at Plateia Aghiou, with their double-wide steps. Take time out in one of the picturesque tavernas for some dácos (Cretan bread) and mizithra cheese.

Day 4 • Santorini, Greece As our yacht approaches the spectacular cliffs rising from the deep azure sea, you’ll understand the magic of this area, where some say the ruins of Atlantis remain hidden. Sail in a traditional Greek fishing boat (caïque) to Thira, and hike to the summit of its active volcano. Sail to the thermal springs of Palea Kameni for a swim in the heated waters. Toast the day with a crisp, cold glass of local Assyrtiko wine.

Dardanelles, Turkey

Day 6 • Bodrum, Turkey A myriad of activities fill your day, from scuba diving with a certified master to lounging on the beach of a luxurious resort. Or get away from it all on a romantic wooden gulet schooner, where you’ll moor in beautiful inlets to swim and sun in the Aegean. Of course, today is a great day to enjoy Windstar’s Watersports Platform. Swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, wind surfing — it’s all just a step off the aft of the yacht.

In Ephesus, one of the greatest outdoor museums in the world, you’ll explore legendary sites steeped in history. Also visit the houses of Bulbul Mountain, where the roof of one forms the terrace of the next. If you like, cap your day by choosing to dine in the moonlight and enjoy a concert at Celsius Library in Ephesus.

Day 8 • Cesme, Turkey Today is a cornucopia of delightful choices. Weather permitting, we may invite you to enjoy as many water toys as your imagination can cope with from Star Pride’s aft Watersports Platform — kayaks, snorkeling equipment, water skiing, sail boats, wind boards, paddle boats. It’s all complimentary for your fun. Or, if you prefer, explore the alluring thermal springs and the 14th century Genoese castle, or wander among the fig and aniseed groves. Be sure to be back on board in time for dinner — it’s the deck barbecue, the best party at sea.

xplore the transcendent magic of Istanbul and the enigmatic, once hidden, wonders of Europe’s Black Sea in signature Windstar yachting style. Discover the Turkish delights of Istanbul. Write

Day 1 • Istanbul, Turkey

180° from ordinary® Every moment is all about you. Enjoy pampered, personalized service by a crew who quickly learns your name and delights in surprising you with their thoughtfulness. With only 212 privileged guests, and 124 dedicated crew at your service, your experience aboard Windstar Cruises’ all suite Star Pride is designed for indulgence. From your first hand-delivered cup of coffee to your fluffed pillows at turn-down, your wish is our delight.

Your voyage begins with a truly memorable experience as we sail between continents under the iconic bridge that connects Europe and Asia. Istanbul, the capital of three world empires, surrounds us with some of history’s finest monuments. The soaring minarets and magnificent domes of this captivating city gracefully bid us on our way as we move toward the intriguing ports of the Black Sea.

Day 2 • At Sea Today we cross the Black Sea, a mysterious body of water with unique qualities. Thanks to all the rivers flowing into it, the surface water is only half as salty as most oceans, while the depths have very little oxygen and are almost devoid of life. Keep your eyes open for the occasional bottlenose dolphin or seal. Use your “day off” to relax in the spa, take a dip in the pool, or visit the Bridge to chart our progress towards Ukraine.

Istanbul, Turkey

Day 3 • Yalta, Ukraine Once upon a time, Yalta was reserved for Russian czars and Russian aristocrats. Those who were jaded by jewels, palaces, and fine caviar ranked this Crimean resort among their favorites, and so will you. Take in the elegant white Livadia Palace where the 1945 Yalta Conference was held, Chekhov’s White Dacha, and picturesque Swallow’s Nest Castle perched on a cliff. For something more colorful, head to Vorontsov Palace’s opulent Blue Room or golddomed Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Head outside town to taste dessert wines at Massandra Winery, established in the late 19th century to supply wine for the czar’s Summer Palace.

Day 4 • Sevastopol, Ukraine

Day 5 • Odessa, Ukraine You can credit Catherine the Great with this sparkling city, designed by the finest European architects in the late 18th century. With its eclectic architectural styles and immigrants from diverse cultures, Odessa has a unique vibe. Walk the Potemkin Steps, said to bring good luck to those who go up and down them in bare feet, and stroll the beautiful tree-lined paths in the heart of the city.

19th century wooden houses with drying fish strung from their roofs. Further inland, glimpse the quickly vanishing lifestyle of Bulgaria’s rural villages, and sample warm Bulgarian hospitality.

Day 8 • Istanbul, Turkey Here we are once again in the former Constantinople, the true terminus of the Silk Road and the end of our journey. Take advantage of our three-day, twonight tour here to discover this ancient city. From the beautiful Pera Palace Hotel you’ll explore the indescribable Hagia Sofia, the stunning Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the ancient underground cisterns, and much more.

G ree k I sles , TU RKE Y & B L ACK SE A

Sevastopol feels like a misplaced bit of Russia, and for good reason, since the town began as a Russian navy base in 1783. You have to wonder, though, if the navy had purely strategic thoughts in mind. With the beautiful Crimean climate and beaches, this must have rated among the cushiest of Russian military postings. Beyond the city, explore ancient Chersonesus, an ancient Greek city founded in the 5th century, and sample 16th century Crimean Tatar style at the Khan’s Palace.

Visit WindstarCruises.com for available land and hotel packages to complement this journey.

Day 6 • Constanta (Bucharest), Romania You’ll have time to explore this fascinating country as we extend our stay into the evening hours. The resort town of Constanta offers beaches, history, and fine wine. Head inland to the beautiful city of Bucharest, once known as “Little Paris,” where you may visit the vast and famous home of both houses of the Romanian Parliament, widely known as the Palace of the People. Don’t miss the chance to watch the locals playing chess in beautiful Cismigiu Gardens.

Day 7 • Nessebar, Bulgaria The terracotta rooftops come into sight as we approach Nessebar. The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is easy to cover by foot, tidily contained on a 24-acre island connected by a narrow isthmus to the mainland. Take a walk and you’ll see medieval churches everywhere you look, along with

Arrive a few days early to get your first taste of sunrises and sunsets in colors from banana to hibiscus, and to casually assume your Tahitian aita pea pea (not to worry) attitude.

Days 1/2 • Moorea (Overnight) Welcome to paradise, where your stunning surroundings soak up superlatives and call for more. In our overnight stay here you’ll have plenty of time to do it all. Be sure to consider the opportunity to hone your photography talents on an optional tour of the island in the company of a professional photographer. Your choices here are endless. Hike the majestic Three

Day 3 • Tahaa You have just arrived in a wonderland for snorkeling and diving. A true highlight is drift snorkeling among the spectacular coral gardens, a phenomenon unique to Polynesia and perfected in this place. When you come out of the water and breathe in the fragrant air, you’ll remember that this is called the Vanilla Island.

Days 3/4 • Raiatea (Overnight) This magical island will capture you, just as it’s captured those who have come to its shores for over 1,000 years. After our leisurely overnight at anchor here, you’ll wonder how anyone ever mustered the will to leave. Once again, snorkeling is divine, whether you choose to explore the coral reef or simply splash into the aquamarine heaven from the Watersports Platform. Or just stretch out and relax in the sun — this is life in paradise.

Days 5/6 • Bora Bora (Overnight) Your stay here allows plenty of time to capture the beauty in photographs — and you’ll want plenty. These stunning waters will show a different kaleidoscope of blue in each frame. You’ll have lots of options for exploration, whether you prefer the access provided by a 4-by-4, or the thrill of riding in the open air. Stretch out on stunning white-sand beaches, dive and swim in brightly colored seas, or sail among the tiny islands and lagoons. This is the stuff that dreams are made of.

Pacific island lifestyle. And you’ll have your pick of the world’s best snorkeling once again from the decks of your own beautiful yacht.

Day 8 • Papeete Relax on sunny beaches, sample Tahitian fare, and take in the effervescent spirit of the city. But whatever you do, save time — and luggage space — for shopping. Black pearls and colorful crafts fill the market and local treasures are so plentiful you’ll have trouble making your choices. Toss a coin in Trevi Fountain and prepare to enjoy la dolce vita. In addition to world-famous sights such as the ancient Forum and spectacular Vatican City, Rome also offers much in the way of retail therapy with some of the best shopping in Italy.

Day 2 • Capri, Italy There is so much to see on this captivating island — from the ruins of Roman villas to gorgeous private residences surrounded by flower-filled gardens. Wander along little lanes scented with the aromas of bougainvillea, plumbago, grapevines, and mandevilla. Don’t miss an opportunity to explore the famous Blue Grotto, with its intense azure interior and ethereal silvery light.

Capri, Italy

The cobblestone streets of Messina, Sicily, are the perfect launching point for an optional visit to nearby Taormina. Stroll along flower-filled streets in search of a delightful lunch or an artist’s palette of colorful gelati. The ancient Greek Theater is an ideal place to sit back and admire shimmering waters below and Mount Etna, languidly smoking in the distance.

Day 4 • At Sea Cruise the privileged waters of the Ionian Sea to the breathtaking fjords of Montenegro. One of the most beautiful places on the Dalmatian Coast, these intricate fjords are a spectacular journey, even by road. Just imagine yourself taking it all in while you relax on the broad teak deck.

Day 5 • Kotor, Montenegro With its twisting byways, Byzantine architecture, and pitched mountains plummeting straight into the Adriatic Sea, the walled city of Kotor astonishes at every turn. Timeworn cobbled streets lead to gorgeous gardens, Venetian-style churches, and aristocratic mansions from days gone by. Admire the medieval beauty of St. Tryphon’s Cathedral or watch a magical sunset from the Fortress of St. Ivan.

Day 6 • Dubrovnik, Croatia Like Kotor, the beautifully preserved, fortified town of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within its medieval walls lies the sparkling white Old City with its peaceful Franciscan cloister, a cathedral with works by Raphael and Titian, a fascinating maritime museum, and what is believed to be Europe’s oldest apothecary.

Day 8 • Rovinj, Croatia Rovinj used to be a tiny island until the channel was filled in during the 18th century, so while the red terracotta roofs now spill inland, the Old Town is tidily self-contained. Hints of Italy are everywhere — in the signs, in the language, in the cuisine — thanks to having spent more than 500 years under Venetian rule. Romantic, quaint, and captivating, it’s Istria’s most beloved town.

Day 9 • Venice, Italy Extend your stay in a Windstar Collection hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of Venice. The entire city, from the legendary Grand Canal to the magnificent Piazza San Marco, is at your doorstep. A highlight of your cruise is a visit to this most enchanting of cities, where quiet lagoons lead to astonishing churches and inviting palazzo. Enjoy a gondola tour of the canals, a stroll among the romantic bridges, or shop for celebrated glass, masks, and art. njoy all the wonders of Venice, the Queen of the Adriatic, as we overnight in this magical city on a voyage that takes you along the ancient trade routes through the narrow Corinth Canal,

to the ancient oracle of Delphi, and into the stunning fjords of Montenegro. Each new experience is intoxicating, provocative, makes you yearn for more. And more is exactly what you get.

Day 1 • Athens, Greece

Day 2 • Hydra, Greece Some Mediterranean towns offer you a glimpse of the past and others skip all that falderol and simply take you there. Hydra is one of the latter. This is a town where pedestrians and donkeys take the place of automobiles. Admire the 18th century red-roofed stone houses that shoulder the lanes. Stop at a pastry shop for some amigdalota (almond cakes) and wonder at the silence and tranquility of a village where there’s not an engine or modern building in sight.

Zakynthos, Greece

Day 3 • Corinth Canal & Delphi/Itea, Greece You’ll want to be on deck today as we transit the narrow Corinth Canal with other private yachts and Greek mail steamers. It’s a shortcut reserved for petite ships like ours, and as we cruise between the narrow limestone walls we are the envy of all the ancient Romans who once portaged their ships along this very route before there was a canal. Before there were fortune cookies there was the oracle of Delphi, dating back to 1400 B.C. The oracle gave cryptic guidance to the leaders of the day and was so highly respected that Delphi, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, became known as the center of the world. What better place to park your yacht and go exploring, from the Temple of Apollo to the Delphi Archaeological Museum, which contains some of the finest works of art in Greece.

You’ll find all the iconic Greek island pleasures on Zakynthos: beautiful beaches, quaint mountain villages, stunning “Blue Caves” where the light plays off the white-pebble bottom. If all those pleasures sound like too much effort, choose your favorite taverna — by the music? by the laughter drifting out onto the street? — and sample the local wine. Or stay on board to go kayaking, waterskiing, or windsurfing from our Watersports Platform.

Day 5 • Butrint/Butrint National Park, Albania Today is a day to explore the past. Lots of it, in one of the most magical repositories of history in Europe. Encroaching marshes perfectly preserved it all for you on a lovely bluff overlooking the sea. And when you’re ready for a break from the parade of cultural treasures at this UNESCO World Heritage Site, walk along the saltwater channel watching for birds, otters, and the occasional loggerhead turtle.

Day 6 • Kotor, Montenegro This is one of Montenegro’s most beautiful bays, and the approach offers one breathtaking fjord-like view after another. Just when you’ve reached your fill of blues and greens, the bright red rooftops of the medieval town come into view. Now the real fun begins. Our small yacht docks right in Old Town. You’ll step off into charming streets that remain car free, filled with 12th century Baroque palaces and Romanesque churches. For a fresh perspective climb to the fortress on the hill for a breathtaking vista.

Day 2 • Capri, Italy In English, it’s ka-PREE. In Italian, KAH-pree. In person, it’s simply spectacular. Whether you seek the stunning splendor of the famous Blue Grotto, or simply decide to meander among lemon-scented lanes festooned with bougainvillea and oleander, this island will captivate you. The dramatic blue of the sea coupled with the striking cliffs of the Faraglioni Rocks remind you why this legendary island of the Sirens is hard to leave.

Taormina, Italy

Day 3 • Lipari, Italy Today is a good day to live the yachting life to its fullest. As our small ship rests alongside the glamorous yachts of the world’s elite, you’ll fit right in. Take time on shore to explore the beautiful village and enjoy the exclusive access that only a small ship can provide in a port large cruise ships cannot reach. Special excursions allow you to experience the island’s dramatic natural beauty, from a hike to the rim of an active volcano to a wonderfully indulgent geothermal mud bath.

Day 4 • Giardini Naxos/Taormina, Sicily, Italy

Day 5 • At Sea This is your own day of private yachting, as we cross the Mediterranean from Sicily to Greece. Sun yourself with periodic dips in the pool, let us make sure you have a cool drink in your hand and an appetizing snack on your plate, treat yourself to a massage or manicure, and generally live like the royalty you deserve to be. The only thing more magical than spending the day cruising is a romantic 1,000-star dinner under the moon.

Day 8 • Athens, Greece No matter how many times you look up and see the Acropolis rising majestically above this expansive city, it always takes your breath away. Explore this city which gave birth to democracy in a two- or threeday Windstar Land Tour. From the gracious Hotel Grande Bretagne you’ll discover Athens’ celebrated treasures — the Parthenon, the stunning new Acropolis Museum, the Temple of Zeus, and many more — in the care of knowledgeable guides who will not only share the city’s ancient secrets and modern enchantments, they’ll also escort you with expert ease in complete comfort and confidence.

Today you’ll discover one of Sicily’s jewels, the charming village of Giardini Naxos, nestled in one of the world’s most beautiful bays. An excursion to the popular hillside town of Taormina will be a highlight of your voyage — from the stunning setting of the iconic Greek Theater to the sparkling beaches along the Ionian Sea. Take a more adventurous tack and explore Mount Etna, Europe’s most active volcano.

Visit WindstarCruises.com for available land and hotel packages to complement this journey.

Day 6 • Gythion, Greece This exuberant little port is the very essence of all that we celebrate as Greek. Cheerful pastel houses are littered among intriguing whitewashed lanes and staircases. Playful sculptures welcome you to the harbor’s cheerful shops, coffee houses, and waterfront cafés. This is a perfect place to enjoy a cup of rich coffee or a glass of ouzo while you watch the world go by. To explore further, consider an excursion to the Dyros Caves, often cited as the most beautiful in the world.

Day 7 • Monemvasía, Greece This beautiful hamlet might have been forgotten by time. Accessible only by a narrow causeway from the mainland, the city is a myriad of streets wide enough only for pedestrians, lined with picturesque shops and ancient, still lived in, houses. It’s easy to lose yourself in leisurely wandering here — after all, this region, Laconia, gives meaning to our English word laconic. But don’t forget that this charming port is also a gateway to Sparta, as well as to the remarkably preserved medieval city of Mystras, both great excursion options.

At Corsica’s edge, the medieval city of Bonifacio appears as “Land’s End” as you approach. Bonifacio’s ancient Citadel was once headquarters for the French Foreign Legion — and from any angle, the views are peerless. In nearby Torre, wander through ruins from the Bronze Age.

history of Butrint. As well as breathtaking sunsets, relaxing moments in seaside tavernas, and mesmerizing views of your ship from hilltop fortresses.

Day 1 • Athens, Greece

180° from ordinary® Not just for show. Those billowing triangles of white flying above our gorgeous sailing yachts … beautiful, are they not? Such an ancient form of propulsion, controlled by the most modern computers. Whenever possible, the sailing yachts in our fleet use Earth’s cleanest energy as their primary power source. Even our itineraries are planned to maximize wind power.

With 3,000 years of history, you can’t turn around in Athens without encountering the past. The Acropolis, the Plaka, and the Acropolis Museum are must-sees. But leave time if you can to climb Pnyx Hill for photos of the Parthenon at sunset, to buy your own set of Greek komboloi (worry beads), and to explore the metro stations that serve as mini-museums for the relics that are constantly being unearthed.

Day 2 • Gythion, Greece Create your own legendary day in what was once the port for ancient Sparta. Relax at a seaside taverna admiring the colorful fishing boats in the harbor, eyes painted on the prows to avert evil. Travel to Mystras for a look at extraordinary Byzantine frescoes, or to the famous Caves of Dyros to boat through the caverns — a masterpiece of Mother Nature.

Day 4 • Butrint, Albania Today is a day to explore one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the Adriatic — the exquisitely preserved ruins of Butrint National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dating from the 4th century B.C., these amazing relics were hidden for centuries until 1924 when Mussolini dispatched a young archaeologist who uncovered them, pristinely preserved. Be amazed by brilliant peacock mosaics and a place Cicero called “the quietest, coolest, most pleasant place in the world.”

Ever wonder where East meets West? This is the place. Follow Rome’s Appian Way and you’ll find yourself here. Follow the Silk Road, here again. The Crusades? Yet again. It’s also on the path of your Windstar voyage. Explore what remains from days gone by — elaborate Roman fountains, stoic castles, a grand cathedral. Or sip a glass of Brindisi Rosso and watch the world come and go through this idyllic crossroads.

Day 6 • Dubrovnik, Croatia Look at those towering city walls, wrapping around the Old Town like a protective arm enveloping life lived in stone houses today as it has been since the 14th century. The pedestrian-only streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site invite you to explore their polished granite paths. Don’t miss the opportunity to walk around the top of the wall, with views of village life on one hand and spectacular Adriatic views on the other.

Day 7 • Hvar, Croatia Celebrities from Prince Harry to Beyoncé have made Hvar their go-to place for both unspoiled escape and action, so you might want to check out the other yachts in the harbor to see who your neighbors are. Soak up the natural beauty of the island, covered in pine and palm trees, fragrant lavender fields, vineyards, and gorgeous beaches. Head to the town square for a look at the Venetian cathedral. It is best discovered by small ship, giving you access to the town with its lush green forests and majestic inlets. Enjoy the afternoon at sea in these stunning surroundings.

Day 4 • Oslo, Norway Enjoy Oslo’s exquisite collection of urban parks, its stunning Opera House and world-class modern architecture, and — after contemplating Edvard Munch’s stress-inducing masterpiece The Scream at the National Gallery — relax on the deck as we set sail this evening through scenic waters and majestic fjords.

Dutch Philipsburg is famous for its picturesque pastelcolored buildings. Step inside to find local Creole restaurants, stylish boutiques, and lively casinos.

Terms & conditions All itineraries, schedules, and ports are correct at time of publication but are subject to change without notice. Due to the small size and intimate nature of our yachts, Windstar Cruises is unable to accommodate children under seven (7) years of age. Minor passengers must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

CRUISE FARES: Your fare includes ocean transportation, stateroom accommodations, and all meals and entertainment on board the ship. Not included, however, are items of a personal nature, such as alcoholic beverages, laundry, transfers prior to or after cruise, or optional programs or activities. Shore excursions, airfare, and additional conveniences or conveyances not specified in the itinerary are available for an additional charge. All rates shown are per person based on double occupancy. Fares are published in U.S. dollars. Note: Third-person rates are available upon request. For further information on fares, nondiscountable amounts, taxes, and surcharges, please see below. SINGLES: Single occupancy of a stateroom is 175 percent of the published per person stateroom cruise fare (200 percent of the Owner’s Suite, Suites, and Bridge Suites per person cruise fares) and is subject to availability. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT: Windstar Cruises works with travel agencies worldwide to serve your needs. Reservations either made by or assigned to a travel professional must be managed by the agency of record. While Windstar is unable to provide specific booking information on agency bookings, we are happy to answer general questions. Alternately, you may reserve your cruise directly if you prefer. Since accommodations are limited by the number of staterooms on each ship, reservations should be made as early as possible. Your deposits and payments for Windstar Cruises services are to be paid to the travel agency with which you made your reservation, or to Windstar Cruises directly. Travel documents will be issued only if and when full payment has been received by Windstar Cruises. Refunds for cancelled or unused services will be made, less any applicable cancellation fees and charges. If you have reserved your cruise with your travel professional, please be aware that additional cancellation fees charged by the booking agency may apply. Guests under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone in their cabin that is at least 25 years old; one adult (age 25 or older) chaperone is required for every five (5) people under 21. DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Immediate deposit per person for all sailings is required within three (3) days of booking to secure a reservation, though special terms may apply to promotional fares. Back-to-back sailings will require a deposit for each leg of the sailing. Final payment is due no later than 90 days before departure. We will provide you with travel documents, including your passage contract, approximately 60 days prior to departure. Travel documents, however, are only issued after final payment has been received by Windstar Cruises. Send all payments to Windstar Cruises, 2101 4th Avenue, Suite 210, Seattle, WA 98121, U.S.A. Payment is also welcome by American Express®, Discover Card®, Visa®, or MasterCard®. For faster processing, please include your confirmation number on your check. Travel professionals should make checks payable to Windstar Cruises. LATE BOOKING POLICY: On bookings within 45 days of departure, we require full payment (cashier’s check, wire transfer of funds, or American Express®, Discover Card®, Visa®, or MasterCard®) before we can initiate the process of requesting hotel and/or air space; on bookings within 14 days of departure, we are unable to make air or hotel arrangements. Windstar Cruises will advise you of the status of the request within five (5) working days of receipt of final payment. If your request is confirmed, travel documents may be delivered to the departure point of your cruise. If we are unable to confirm your late booking as you requested, all monies requested will be refunded in full. Please note, changes or additions to the cruise package (i.e. transfers, special services, gifts, or onboard packages) cannot be made within seven (7) days of departure.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Each booking cancelled before 91 days prior to travel will be subject to a $50 per person processing fee. A full refund (except for the amounts paid for a travel cancellation protection plan and the $50 per person fee) will be made for written cancellations received by Windstar Cruises at least 91 days prior to the date on which you are to commence travel by any mode of transportation booked through Windstar Cruises (air, sea, or land). Guests who cancel after that date for any reason, including medical or family reasons, are subject to the following cancellation fee schedule, less processing fees: 90 days – 60 days forfeiture of deposit 59 days – 30 days 50 percent of gross fare 29 days – 0 days 100 percent of gross fare Windstar Cruises can only be responsible for refunding amounts actually received. Travel agencies may impose their own cancellation fees. Agency fees of any nature are a matter to be decided on solely by the agency and guests. Windstar Cruises contracts are non-transferable. Name changes and departure date changes are considered reservation cancellations/re-bookings and are subject to cancellation fees. Changes require the prior approval of Windstar Cruises and may not always be possible. CHANGE FEES: Changing your itinerary after reservations have been made can result in a loss of advantages gained by early planning. To cover administrative costs, a minimum charge of $175 (USD) per person will be assessed if you request a change in your travel arrangements less than 91 days prior to commencement of travel. This doesn’t apply to departure date changes. Change fees are not assessed for stateroom upgrades or for the addition of services unless air reservations are altered and/or travel documents must be reissued. CRUISE CONDITIONS: “Ship” refers to the ship that will provide the ocean transportation portion of the cruise. “Cruise” refers to the specific cruise indicated, as it may be modified by us, and shall include periods during which you are embarking or disembarking the ship or are on shore while the ship is in port. “Windstar Cruises,” “We,” and “Us” refer to Windstar Cruises LLC, a Limited Liability Company that acts as the agent of Owner and is doing business as Windstar Cruises. “Initial Departure” means the time at which you first begin transit by any means of transport booked by us (including air transportation) for the purpose of taking the cruise. “Windstar Cruises Air Package” refers to air transportation booked for you by us to enable you to travel to and from your cruise. NON-WINDSTAR CRUISES SERVICES: Non-Windstar Cruises Services (such as airlines and other off-ship transportation carriers, shore excursions, and accommodations) are generally performed by selected independent contractors. Those Non-Windstar Cruises Services that are performed by independent contractors are solely at your risk and subject to the terms or arrangements made by you or on your behalf with the independent contractor furnishing the Non-Windstar Cruises Service. Windstar Cruises assumes no responsibility with respect to these Non-Windstar Cruises Services (including delay, injury, death, or damage to property) even though it may collect monies or make arrangements for the services. Situations may arise that, in the opinion of Windstar Cruises, make it necessary for Windstar Cruises to cancel, advance, or postpone a scheduled departure, change itineraries or make substitutions involving ports of call, other travel components, vessels, or other modes of transportation. These situations may include, by way of example, concerns regarding weather conditions, issues involving safety matters, alternative business arrangements or charters resulting in the decision to withdraw a sailing from public sale, or requirements of governmental authorities. If this should occur, Windstar Cruises does not assume responsibility or liability for any losses, inconvenience, or expenses incurred by guests as a result.

GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES: Windstar Cruises does not discriminate against persons on the basis of disability. We seek, to the extent feasible, to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities. There are no elevators on Wind Star and Wind Spirit nor were the ships originally constructed to be wheelchair accessible. As a result, these two ships may be unsuitable for people relying solely on wheelchairs for transportation. Wind Surf and Star Pride are equipped with elevators. Staterooms on Wind Surf are not wheelchair accessible. Four (4) suites on Star Pride are wheelchair accessible. Also note, there is no elevator access to board the ships. Certain ports require the ship to anchor; in this case guests must be ferried into port. Service animals are permitted on board ships if prior arrangements have been made at time of booking. In limited situations where an individual with a disability would be unable to satisfy certain specified safety and other criteria, even when provided with appropriate auxiliary aids and services, we may find it necessary to ask the individual to make alternative travel arrangements. It is essential that Windstar Cruises is notified of any special medical, physical, or other requirements you may have at time of booking. FARES, NON-DISCOUNTABLE AMOUNTS, TAXES, AND SURCHARGES: Windstar Cruises reserves the right not to honor any published prices that it determines were erroneous due to printing, electronic, or clerical error. Each cruise fare includes a Non-Discountable Amount. That portion of the fare is both non-commissionable to travel professionals and not subject to reduction in the event of a percentage discount promotion, 2-for-1 promotion, or otherwise. If cost factors dictate the need for fare increases, Windstar Cruises may do so at any time prior to departure. Guests can cancel (without paying a cancellation fee) rather than accept a fare increase. Taxes will be collected separately from the cruise fare. The term “Taxes” as used by Windstar Cruises refers to certain taxes, fees, and charges imposed by governmental or quasi-governmental authorities, including port authorities, relating to any aspect of your cruise. Similarly, Windstar Cruises reserves the right to impose or pass through fuel surcharges, security surcharges, or similar incidental surcharges. No right of cancellation exists under any of these circumstances. SHIPS’ REGISTRY AND TRADEMARKS: All of the Windstar Cruises ships are registered in the Bahamas and owned by Bahamian entities. “Owner” refers to the owner of the ship; Wind Spirit is owned by Wind Spirit Limited; Wind Star is owned by Wind Star Limited; Wind Surf is owned by Degrees Limited; and Star Pride is owned by Windstar Pride Limited. Ship ownership and registry are subject to change. Windstar Cruises has registered trademarks in the United States and various foreign countries for the names and phrases Windstar®, 180° from Ordinary®, 180 Degrees from Ordinary®, Romance Under Sail®, and the Windstar Cruises logo. Should you need to contact Windstar Cruises prior to sailing, use this address: Windstar Cruises, 2101 4th Avenue, Suite 210, Seattle, WA 98121, U.S.A. TRANSFERS/PRE- & POST-CRUISE SERVICES: Services for Windstar Cruises cruise-only guests (individuals who do not purchase air transportation or cruise extensions from Windstar Cruises) begin with embarkation at the noted time in your cruise documents. Any transfers, meals, and dayroom accommodations required prior to this time are the responsibility of the guest. Please make a note of this, as many international flights arrive several hours prior to the scheduled embarkation time. Guests may purchase a transfer from local airport to ship for day of sailing and from ship to local airport for day of disembarkation directly through Windstar Cruises Vacation Planning. Guests flying on dates other than the date of (dis)embarkation must arrange their own transfers unless the reason for the different date is because of the purchase of a cruise extension from Windstar Cruises. Transfers for these guests will be arranged between airport, hotel, and pier, as appropriate, so long as the transfer dates coincide with the dates of the services purchased from Windstar Cruises.

AIR PROGRAM FORCED OVERNIGHTS: Due to airline schedules (and occasionally, lack of flight availability), travel between many home cities and your cruise may require one (1) or more hotel overnights en route. If necessary, the cost of this hotel accommodation is not included in the air fare and is the responsibility of the guest. Hotels will be selected by Windstar Cruises and may not be at the port. Guests are responsible for meals and items of a personal nature. Note: Some hotel packages may not be available in conjunction with our air/sea program due to our preferred carrier’s flight frequency between port cities and the U.S.A. or Canada. SEAT ASSIGNMENTS/AIRLINE SERVICE REQUESTS: While seat assignments, frequent flyer miles, or other service requests such as wheelchairs, special meals, or oxygen cannot be guaranteed by Windstar Cruises, your travel professional or Vacation Planner may assist you with these arrangements where possible once you receive your tickets. Some airlines or charter operations may not offer advance seat assignments. Each airline has its own baggage allowance policy. You are responsible for any excess baggage charges imposed by airlines. CUSTOM AIR SERVICE: Windstar Cruises offers services in making air arrangements to and from our cruises. All requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. If confirmation is possible, guests will be assessed a non-refundable service charge per request and any additional airline costs incurred. AIR CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS, AND REFUNDS: Once airline tickets have been issued (or at any time within 59 days of travel), any changes or cancellations will result in cancellation fees in the amount of 50 percent or 100 percent of the gross fare (see Cancellation Policy section on pg. 126 for detailed schedule). In addition, should the requested change or cancellation result in a fare increase or airline charge, you will be responsible for payment of the additional amount. The maximum refund for unused flight coupons will not exceed the air add-on paid by you to Windstar Cruises. Please note, that because of changing airline tariffs, your actual air tickets may reflect fares higher or lower than the charge assessed by Windstar Cruises. If so, the difference is neither chargeable nor refundable to you. LIABILITY AND RELATION WITH AIRLINES: If, due to any cause beyond our control (including, for example, capacity controls placed upon us by airlines due to the types of fares under which we book), we are unable to arrange for air transportation or the air transportation we arrange is unavailable or otherwise fails to materialize, our sole liability will be limited to refunding the air add-on amount paid to us. We assume no liability for any acts or omissions of any airline, including, without limitation, those involving cancellation of flights, schedule changes, re-routings, damage to or delay or loss of baggage, flight delays, equipment failures, accidents, pilot or other staff shortages, overbooking, or computer errors. The liabilities and obligations of an airline to you and your rights against an airline are subject to any and all terms and conditions of the airline’s ticket and tariffs and any and all governmental laws and regulations bearing upon or otherwise relating to such rights, liabilities, and obligations. AIR TAXES AND FEES: Air add-on costs quoted by Windstar Cruises will not include passenger facility charges, federal flight segment taxes for each flight segment (takeoff and landing), the September 11 security fee per passenger enplanement, international arrival and departure taxes assessed in foreign countries (the amount of which may be charged in the currency of the foreign country and is subject to change), or new taxes which may be enacted after this brochure was published.
