Welcome to Family News in August! Well, it’s August already. God is so good! For all of us who went, Without Borders 2011 was everything we hoped and expected it to be; a time of encouragement, strengthening, inspiration, encounter with the Holy Spirit, relaxation, fun and fellowship, and all in the glorious sunshine! I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thanks to all those who served in the various ways during the week – your hard work was much appreciated. Since the last edition of Family News we’ve seen two couples tie the knot. Congratulations to Luke & Sarah Nelson and Pete & Mim Johnson! We have also seen a new baby born; Gideon John Cole and I’d like to extend my congratulations to Daniel and Rosy Cole on the birth of their third son. There’s lots in this Family News so do take time to have a read through. I leave you with this encouragement from scripture from Philippians 4: 8; “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

What a fantastic week we’ve had at without borders 2011! We encountered the love and power of God in a new and fresh way and have been equipped to take the love of God out to our communities to see lives changed for Jesus! A huge thank you to all who served so amazingly in the security, youth, kids work, etc and gave your time to make it such a fantastic week for all! This year, as a Church, we were able to sow £1,000 into the Heap offering which will be used faithfully to extend God’s Kingdom to the ends of the earth! As we ‘sow generously, we will also reap generously’ (2 Cor 9:6). If you would like to purchase any CD’s or DVD’s of the teaching from the conference, please see the Welcome desk for an order form. Order forms must be submitted Ladies Evening – Heaton Park, borders bring a blanket / deck chair, treats, wine, whatever you fancy (weather directly to ministries without depending). by 9th September.

Church in the Park! Sunday 14th Aug

Buile Hill Park, Eccles New Road, Salford, M50 1SW We are taking the love of Jesus out into Salford! It will be a family fun day of games, face paints, breaking bread, getting to know our community and sharing life together. Bring a picnic and invite your friends, family, neighbours along! If you have any outdoor games bring them along too. We’ll be meeting at Buile Hill Park Hall at 11.30am before we find a spot to sit. Friday 23rd September | Salford University The students’ fresher’s fair is an excellent opportunity to ‘Make Jesus Famous’ to the thousands of students that descend on Salford each year! Many of our students in New Life came to hear of us through the fresher’s fairs and without them New Life Church would not be the same. If you are free on this day and are able to serve for a couple of hours on the New Life stall, we would love to hear from you. WorldWatch A time to gather and hear what the Spirit is saying to the church at this hour

November 11-12, 2011 Hosted by All Nations Church, Cardiff It’s that time of year again when we look forward to hearing what God is doing in other nations of the world, and also our own. The World Watch Conference is again being hosted by All Nations Church in Cardiff on 11th and 12th November.
