Welcome to the Windermere Centre
Autumn Peaks 2011 This is the annual walking holiday for those who wish to walk in the Lakes with experienced guides, perhaps enjoying walks which they would not attempt on their own. There are two walks offered each day, a harder walk (up to 3,000 feet of ascent and about 10 miles in distance), and an easier walk (up to 1,200 feet of ascent and about 7 miles in distance). Evening activities include films and lectures on mountain safety and similar topics. It is a time to enjoy the challenge of the Lake District
It’s your place! The Windermere Centre is the United Reformed Church’s residential training Centre in the Lake District… and it’s your place! It’s your place because the Centre is here as a resource to equip you and your Church for mission. It’s a conference centre, a retreat centre and a hotel, and there’s the Hannah Fund to provide financial help for anyone who needs it. Whether you want a venue for an event, to take part in the Centre’s Programme, some spiritual refreshment or just a break in the Lakes, the Windermere Centre is your place!
