Football Development Officer (Just Play) Salary: Up to £23,000 pa This is a full-time (37.5hrs) position supporting all areas of football development, but with a primary focus to deliver increased football participation for people aged 16 years plus. You will deliver the Just Play Fund key performance indicator targets on an annual basis by: Working with key stakeholders to create recreational opportunities and supporting the affiliated game through the coordination and delivery of activities as outlined in the Just Play Development Plan and County Plan. Developing programmes that grow 11 v 11 open age male and female football and grow small sided male and female football and utilise opportunities provided by Small Sided Development Fund and FA Fives Providing more flexible formats of football to meet customer needs (e.g. eight week leagues, mini leagues, summer football, pay and play). Working closely with HE and FE establishments to develop and deliver programmes (Team19, Team 23) The successful candidate is likely to be of graduate calibre with knowledge and experience of sports/football development. An understanding of grassroots football structures and development pathways at local, regional and national level is also required. You will need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level and be able to plan, set and achieve objectives within strict deadlines. Candidates must also demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised on their own initiative. Excellent communication and customer service skills will be expected. Applicants must hold a valid car driving licence and be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
