Acid Drain Cleaner Customer information release The Poison Act 1972 (Explosive Precursors) (Amendment) Regulations 2018, which is coming into force on July 1st 2018 . These Regulations have added sulphuric acid to the list of substances regulated by The Poison Act 1972. This Act: (a) will mean that products containing Sulphuric Acid 15% concentration or more as of the 1st July 2018 will no longer be permitted to be sold to the GENERAL PUBLIC unless they hold an EPP licence. (b) defines a “member of the general public” as “an individual acting for purposes not connected with their trade, business or profession or the performance by them of a public function”.
