Installation B013
Unit 16
Brief: LAND
P.g. 2-6
The project takes the form of an immersive event, within Installation B013, in order to propose an extension to the existing Pilgrimage of Los Doloros. This event intended to sensibilise and immerse viewers into the narrative situation of Father Lorenzo Curvello’s perceptual break of place, during the 1730-36 Timanfaya eruption.
This is a study on a new perceptual methodology through architecture, established by old ways of seeing the world.
MArch Year 1
Committal Grounds
Unit 14
Brief: DIALOGUES
P.g. 7-11
A series of structures that inhabit an isolated copse and stretch out across the old Grand Ascent of Greenwich Park. These structures are tasked with the decommissioning of a dying tree, its fell predicted and choreographed. Stations sit on fragile ground, inspired by the act of kadaververjugung, translate: cadaver rejuvenation.
The main structure directs a procession through ritualised stages of committal. The felled oak is re purposed as material used in promession burial (cryogenic cremation) from which a new forest will grow.

“To this solitary end, they have constructed their architecture, their technology, their culture. It is a culture of continuous change and unpredictable change, requiring immense physical, emotional and intellectual poise, because the continuity of life for them is built upon the fragility of moments”.
