Children and Teen Clinics Children’s Mental Health The Shoniker Child & Adolescent Clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of emotional and behavioural problems in children and teens, including problems rooted in family conflict and depression. Appointments can be arranged during admission to the hospital or from home. The Shoniker Clinic is directly across Neilson Road from Rouge Valley Centenary, in the T.J. Shoniker Building, at 2877A Ellesmere Road. The Clinic offers assessment, treatment and referrals for children and teens up to age 18, who are experiencing mental health problems, developmental problems or speech and language difficulties. Community Asthma Care Centre Our Community Asthma Care Centre is a complementary service to the physician management of Asthma, and is staffed by a Paediatric Asthma Education Nurse. The Clinic offers counseling and education to families and children of all ages to better understand asthma and their treatment plan.
Gastroenterology Clinic and Endoscopy Program The Gastroenterology Clinic and Endoscopy program focuses on the care of children with gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional problems, including consultation, endoscopy and follow-up. This clinical team includes two Paediatric Gastroenterologists and a Paediatric Gastroenterology Nurse.
Pre-Admit Clinic For all children having surgery or a procedure at Rouge Valley Centenary, this clinic is an opportunity to share health information via a brief assessment, discussion and tour.
