Feeling Under the Weather?
Please do not visit patients if you have a cough, cold, fever, or are feeling unwell. You may infect a patient or staff member with your illness. Please reschedule your visit when you are feeling better!
Telephone Patient rooms are equipped with a telephone for each occupant (except for patients on the Mental Health and Paediatric units). Patients will be responsible for a daily fee for this service. Monthly rates are available for longer stays. Please contact the Finance Department at extension 56851 for more information.
For Internal Calls:
Please dial the 5-digit hospital extension number.
For External Local Calls:
Please dial ‘9’, followed by the 10-digit local number you wish to reach.
For Long Distance Calls:
Please dial ‘9’ then ‘0’ and follow the system prompts. An automated operator will accept your calling card number or credit card number and your call will be connected. Please note that patients may place outgoing calls at any time of the day or night. Calls to patient rooms will, however, only be permitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Television Each patient has a television at their bedside. There is a daily fee for use of the television. To have it connected, please contact extension 33596 or 1 866 924-9589. Please note that bedside televisions are not available to patients in the Mental Health unit.
