The Cypress Regional Hospital offers a complete range of services including, but not limited to: general medicine, emergency, surgery, obstetrics/gynaecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry, intensive care, lab servicese and on-site radiology. The Cypress Regional Hospital has emerged as one of Saskatchewan’s most innovative health facilities, adopting the National Health Institute’s Releasing Time to Care™ model and the International Health Institute for Healthcare Improvements Perinatal Collaborative. The facility itself has gained a reputation of being cutting-edge because of its strategic layout and innovative design. The spacious atrium upon entering the Hospital is unique and provides a nontypical hospital welcome. With a blend of natural ambient lighting and warm colour tones, the facility is as welcoming as it is highperforming. The Cypress Regional Hospital has been designed to provide an inviting and less stressful atmosphere for our patients, their families and friends, and staff. The Cypress Regional Hospital has been designed functionally and effectively. Departments are strategically positioned so the most common services are located centrally while complementing services are placed as close together as possible. For instance, the emergency room is located directly below the surgical and obstetrics/gynaecology departments and a large elevator provides direct and immediate access. The Cypress Regional Hospital is also on the leading edge of technology advancements. Digital storage systems like the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) make distance irrelevant. It is able to instantly transfer patients’ digital images throughout Saskatchewan and beyond.
