Directors' Notes

The idea for Medallion Island was born almost a year ago, inspired by my son Jack's love for Jumanji. It is incredible that this vision has come to fruition, bigger, better and more incredible that I had imagined. That is due to having an incredible team to work with, always willing to go above and beyond. It is also due to the energy and creativity of the actors, dancers and crew. This is our largest cast to date- and I am constantly amazed by how engaged they are, how well they know the story and the thought they put in to their characters.

I am so proud of this show and the hard work these students have put into it. I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you all.

The story of Medallion Island written by Deb and Kenzi Campbell has an important message: We all have strengths and weaknesses, and it’s only by working together that we can succeed. That spirit of teamwork is what it takes to make a production like this come to life.
