Studio 5A Instructor: Zach Pauls | Fall | 2019

Studio 5A is a housing studio that took a focus in the interaction of cars within the city of Santa Monica. This project attempts to combine all 20 dealerships in Santa Monica into one large dealership that has an open floor plan and a test track to allow a new experience for car buyers to be emmersed in.

Studio 4B Instructor: Anthony Fontenot | Spring | 2019

Studio 4B is an Urban Design studio, This project’s site is location in Lafitte, Louisiana. This project addresses the situation in Louisiana in which the sea levels are rising, while at the same time the ground is sinking. This project proposes a dock-like infrastructure that connects house to road, while at the same time connecting each house to a boat, giving every house a boat parking station. While this project mimics a suburban culdesac, it also deconstructs the notion of the dead end commonly found inside a culdesac. Instead, this area becomes potential for fish farms, local community gathering locations, resturaunt, and fish market.

FALL 2018 // COU

Studio 4A practiced intergrative systems being taken into consideration within a design. This project focused on the program of a library that doubled as a learning center for children. Along with the program in thought, much focus was put into structural systems, water collection, active and passive cooling and a grid that could combine and sustain these systems. This Project was completed in collaboration with Kevin Guerrero

Studio 3B Instructor: Melissa Peter | Spring 2018

Studio 3B, done in collaboration with Ashni Patel mimics the 101 and 110 intersection, creating a highway for interactive art. This museum is called “y-junction to emphasize its irregular shape. The Y-junction museum replicates the inersection of the 101 and the 110 freeways, creating a freeway for art to be displayed. This building creates a free flowing motion through its open floor plans, circulation adn radical form. The circulation imitates a freeway in that it has many intersections and the route to move through is chosen by the passenger.

Studio 3A was a housing studio that was located at Boston City hall. This Housing project focuses on the experience of the person within the building at any given location. The program is an art institute where one can research and practice art. In each location there is the opportunity to view inspiration and interact with their surrounding environment. The main circulation core also acts as an exhibition space that can be walked through. From the Exhibition, the plaza area, housing gardens, and interaction field are all visible. Each area ties itself to another area through a focused interaction, such as eating, inspiration through art, entertainment and nature.
